We can appreciate now, how land, with its resources & energies & capacity to produce food is the source of human wealth.
In matriarchal, indigenous, animist & magical times (prior stages of human evolution), the dependence of people on the land was understood & perceived as a give-&-receive circulatory, spiritual, living, relationship.

Ecology as base of Economy was fundamentally appreciated, on a direct, experiential, lived level.
Energy as resource for the work to be done to transform matter as source of Wealth is the basis of Ecology & Economy.
Circulation of energy from source to sink, from stars to land, was experientially observed & understood as the foundation on which everyday life & activities revolved around.
The people understood, through feeling the flows through their own bodies & energy fields that the people— with their minds & their hands are the link between the stars, the sun & the land & the plants that grow from the marriage of the sun with the soils.
Humans knew their living role as midwives, custodians (not customers) & guardians of the living, ever-circulating, pulsing life-force.
Naturally they personified the forces & spirits around them, revered the flows, interacted in relations with the forces & flows as living beings, bringing forth exalted levels of consciousness, from the ordinary waking perspective.
Communal communing with energy & spirit was the function of the human in those magical days.
Ecstasy is a state you enter, when there is relation & union between yourself & the larger, the community, Nature, the Cosmos, the Mystery, the Unknown.
The relations were sustained through ecstatic rites.
Modern man can’t understand what is happening when he looks with his rational mind, what he sees in these states, reflects his own denied & suppressed emotional landscape, so he wants to run from it, or exterminate what he cannot integrate & hold in himself.
He has become dry & parched, like the land he has extorted & raped.
He has misunderstood his proper place as custodian in the great chain of being as “possessor-dominator” of the land.
Now he finds his ecstasy in the violence of war & blood spilling instead.
