I’m going to experiment with collating comments folks have made every few days in a post (at least when I have the spoons for doing so). I hope that this means people get to see them without leaving me struggling to keep up with making a new post for every comment.
@ecstaticasterisms says on the clip tray box post,
idk why I haven’t thought of clips on boxes as stims until you said so, because I always break the battery covers on remotes snapping them on and off constantly… that’s a good idea!
I’ve been working on paying attention to my casual stimming with household items (because if I can stim with it, I probably am) and then mentioning it, because I run into stims other people do that I haven’t thought of myself all the time. If even one person goes oh, I didn’t know I can do that, it’s worth the words. Conversations about ordinary household items are so important in terms of ease of access!
And clip containers are so stimmy, between the snap/click sound and the repetitive movement of pushing the clip open and shut. You can get them in all sorts of sizes, from big enough to store stim toys to small enough to toss in a handbag or backpack, and they’re more easily replaced when broken. I’ve found the brand name ones (like Sistema in Australia and NZ) in general to have a louder, snappier click, but the cheaper ones still work pretty well.
@dottythefishy says on the Basset Hound theme post,
This isn’t exactly basset hound but I thought anon might like this puppy dog marble maze
Thank you so much! There’s only two left (the seller is A Sense of Self, based in the US) so folks who are after dog-themed stim should check it out soonish.
@hufflepuff-ron says on the Captain America post,
Disney stores have captain America tsum tsums
Thank you for letting us know! We didn’t get any Marvel Tsum Tsums over here, so I really have no idea how broad the range is.
I couldn’t find an online listing, but I did find another Captain America-themed fidget spinner for sale online ($7.95 USD).
