TWIN PEAKS: 1.04, Rest in Pain (1990) 🥧
Jesus Christ why is everyone in this town cheating on each other
TWIN PEAKS 1.01 🏍️
so my dad REALLY wanted to make a twin peaks tier list. this caused some arguments that i don’t think we’ll ever recover from
I've watched the scene many times where Agent Cooper finds out who Laura Palmer's killer is, but only tonight did I consider it from everybody else's perspective. spoiler-free, for anyone who hasn't seen it
He's standing on your front porch, flowers in one hand and two beers in the other, looking rather like a kicked puppy with the way that he's hunched forward, as if making himself smaller will somehow add to his apology. He fixes you with a nervous half smile and a huff once you step out to join him on the stoop, and the flowers are tilted toward you, not offered with an outstretched arm.
"I uh... Figured I should get you somethin'. What with me ruining the plans, and all that."
It's said quietly- barely audible above the constant drone of the sodium porch light- and Ed braces himself like he's expecting a blow. Probably, he is. What he gets instead is your gentle fingers wrapping around his where they clutch the stems of the bouquet and a solid kiss to the cheek. You shake your head with an amused snort of, "You don't owe me anything, Ed. You had to stay late, and that's that. Can't help what you can't help. These for me, too, or are you gonna come in and share?"
You point at the beer, and Ed straightens a milimeter at a time, cheeks dimpling with a smile that's more eager now than nervous.
"Figured we'd share," He murmurs, and you jolt at the feeling of cold glass against your back when he gets bold and wraps an arm around you, "If you're amiable."
curse you @henriksenfreak (affectionate)
