Recent YouTube events.
Seriously what is happening with the YouTube community at the moment? Words cannot describe how disgusted I am with the whole situation; both with the viewers and youtubers alike. At this rate I'd rather there was no community left, this is ruining peoples lives! How can people behave in such a way, using YouTube as a platform for disgusting and manipulative behavior. For many people YouTube is a getaway from everyday life, a way to meet friends and this has been abused. A wonderful community has been spoilt by ungodly people, I feel ashamed to have idolised the community and the youtubers, especially as Alex Day was the reason I started watching and now I can't watch anyone without thinking about what is ongoing. Seeing the hurt that the situation-with Alex and Edd and Sam etc-has caused so many people is horrible. To have so many people following and idolising these people to then realise who they actually are is crushing. I personally count myself luckily that I am not massively involved in YouTube, merely a viewer. However, having met Alex Day and been to Summer In The City I do feel violated and hurt in a way, especially as you put so much trust into these people, because at the end of the day they are normal people which is what makes you trust them so much. I personally do not believe Alex should have come back at all. If what is saying is true he would have said it all six months ago, not now when he is running out of money. Leave the community to deal with the repercussions of your actions without you butting in and keeping the situation fresh.
