Sorry for the inactivity!🚨Long writing/art comms open.🚨
I'll still finish requests as soon as possible. I just recently went to the emergency room and got diagnosed with something not so good.
So, I'm gonna go through my prescription first and recover all the side effects before getting back on the grind!
For now though, If you want to commission for art or any long pieces of writing (3-5k words) I'd appreciate it! I'd only ask for like a couple of bucks and I take cashapp. Trying to get my money up guys. (not for any treatments btw im ok)
I'd be glad to bring your oc to life, or do oc x canon, or canon x canon. My art is pretty mediocre but, I'm trying to earn some side cash.
digital comms would be like 5 for portrait and 8 for half body. I won't do anything full body or full color bc I'm booty at digital.
Sketches would be 2 for portrait and 5 for full body.
Any writing comms will be 5 per 1000 words. It takes a lot of time and especially since I won't have much time on my hands to write. I do have two 1k word fics on my page for reference.
Hiii can u plz make headcanons of Edd dating a paranoic reader who also does witchy things plz.....( ∂ ω ∂ )
"Of course I cannn! It'd be my pleasure Anon." - JOR<3
Edd x Paranoid! Witchy! GN Reader Head canons..
Word count: idk...
How they first met:
Edd definitely was in a rough spot. By rough spot I mean broke with no cola.
He searched up everything on the internet and then found something called "manifestation" and went down a reddit archive and found someone.
At first he was just going to message you to ask questions buttt... you're attractive in his eyes so after trying to learn stuff from them he definitely just messages you excuses to talk.
First date:
Edd decided a date at his house with movies and snacks would do the trick! He noticed that you were shaking like a leaf.
"Are you alright...?"
He gave you a blanket, cola, your favorite snack you've mentioned through text, he tried everything! When you finally blurted out that you didn't really trust him yet. He took it as a challenge instead of rejection. (what a patient sweetheart.)
At the end of the day you were still a bit weary but he held your hand and rubbed circles on your thumb.
Random/Fun Headcanons:
When you first cleansed his room with sage, he thought you hotboxed his room. lol.
When in public, especially in large crowds, he's always holding your hand or urging you to hold his arm.
If you bite your nails when you're paranoid he gets all pissy about it. So, he sneakily puts stuff like clear nail polish on your nails when you sleep so maybe you'll stop.
Since you're paranoid, you wake easily and sleep lightly. Edd would always immediately hold you while you face his chest at night the moment you wake up and/or have a night terror.
If you guys went on a trip together, you plan for the worst while Edd on the other hand has his brain shut off.
If you start freaking out about something he may or may not do something goofy to take you off guard if the reassuring and kisses isn't working. (ex: He bites your cheek gently or something)
Calls you love, HIS witch, and a leaf just to tease you for your shakes sometimes.
Tries to poorly break dance to calm you down.
If you have a cool witchy fashion, he definitely drools over it too.
Angsty Scenario :
Edd made the mistake of bringing you to meet his old friend, Tord. You had just recently had a tarot card session. When you read the cards, you got nervous and your heart raced out of your chest.
Something bad was going to happen.
For Edd's sake, you accepted his invite, just because you love the guy.
But when your eyes met Tord's..something wasn't right. Something felt off. You already began to fidget with an accessory you had on.
I asked to talk to Edd outside and he agreed, but he just wouldn't have it.
"Please Edd, you have to believe me- He doesn't give me a good feeling. Not at all."
"What would make you say something like that? I've known him for years! Please. You trust me right, love?"
That nickname you love dearly.
"The cards.." you looked down and continued to fidget.
"You know I..don't really believe in that stuff..I'm sorry but that's my friend..You're just being paranoid."
The interaction hurt your heart. Those words made your heart ache more than you'd like to admit. You've been dating Edd for six months and that took a toll on you.
You continued acting off throughout the day but tried to keep your cool.
That's when on the way home from the store with Edd and Matt, you all heard a loud boom cut through the calm atmosphere outside. You began to shake and all of your worst fears were true.
Edd and his roommate's house in shambles and a giant robot. With none other than Tord inside.
Let's just say Edd believed you when you pressed the issue from that point on.
The soothe for the ANGST:
Brought you flowers and your favorite food.
Wrote one of those foldable 5 page love letters with little drawings at the end because he loves you!!
If you were super mad at him, he played yearning love songs on a boombox outside of your home.
"I HOPE I DELIVERED WHAT WAS ASKED WELL! If not I would gladly make another if there was anything specific in mind. Requests are still open btw guys.." - Jor <3
Omg hi i saw ur last repost (the one who's prompt was like how would each of the guys would react to you saying "hey, can you hold this for me for a minute?" and then just putting your hand in theirs) can you do that for edd, tom, Matt n tord plsplspls🙏🙏🙏 ty!!
Hey, so sorry it took me a while to get to this, but I hope you enjoy it! :,) no tord cuz im going to save him for a longer fic (with this same prompt), as someone also requested one with him and I decided I’d put the two requests together! Hope that’s ok :)
On that note: This is around 1,8k words combined/overall total! Averaging 500 or so words for each one? Hopefully that's enough :)
HOLD MY HAND! With Edd, Matt, and Tom

EDD
“How big is your attic…?”
“Uh, normal-sized? Why?”
It was not, in fact, normal.
Edd sought you out one fine and sunny morning to help him tidy up the attic, considering that everyone else is out or busy. You’ve liked him for quite a while now, so how could you say no to such an opportune moment? What you didn’t expect was the unconventional contents you’d find in the mess and the sheer mass of them.
You watch as Edd rummages through the piles, seemingly looking for something. He throws items behind him. A few of them being a literal skull, a hamburger, and one of the many photoframes of Matt in a certain angle.
“What are we looking for exactly?”
“I had an old sketchbook I never used. I hid it in the attic for the one day I might use it but then Eduardo and I got powers, we fought, and amidst it all, messed up the attic.”
“What?” You pause. Surely, this must be one elaborate joke he’s setting up. You look up at him to make sure. He looks sincere but ultimately so casual about it like said shenanigans are the norm in their household.
“I know. It’s crazy, right? I mean, why would he drag the attic into it?” Oh, he’s dead serious. You opted to not comment nor reply and instead, simply continued to scavenge alongside him.
An hour has possibly passed and you both have only cleared out one section of the room, yet there’s still no sight of the aforementioned sketchbook. You’re both huddled in the corner, sitting amongst the piles of trinkets and memorabilia in a shared fatigue.
“Wow. We're never finding it.” Edd chokes out a sheepish laugh, slumping. “Sorry for dragging you into this. Seems like I wasted an hour or something in your life.”
Now, this isn't exactly the most appropriate time to be thinking about it, but the sun has descended at a very specific angle that basks him in a warm hue. His cheeks are flushed slightly red and he's got the cutest grin plastered on him right now. It would be criminal if you didn't at least try to cheer him up right now.
“No, definitely not. In fact…” You paw at a random space in piles, pretending to look through them. Edd seems to shuffle closer, hovering and trying to figure out what you're trying to do exactly.
You turn around to face him, holding your empty hand out. “Here, can you hold this?”
He blinks. “There's nothing there.”
“Exactly. I'm offering you a helping hand.”
It's pure silence, before his face twists into genuine amusement. “Pfft.”
“What? No loud ‘Hahaha'? No standing ovation?”
“It was pretty terrible.”
You scoff, feigning offence. “That's a lot coming from you!”
You're about to pull your hand away, but Edd intertwines it with his just in time. You look up immediately with wide eyes as Edd stares back with a soft smile and knowing eyes.
“Don't worry, in jokes, terrible is basically equivalent to perfect. You really know the way into my heart.” Edd snickers, as if that sentence alone didn't make your heart skip beat in milliseconds.
You don't notice how the door to the attic was left slightly ajar, letting the rest of the boys catch a peek of your shared moment before they sneak away.
“Why didn't he ask us for help? We were just out getting gas–” Matt whispers when they're out of earshot.
“Please, he probably wasn't even looking for actual help in the first place.” Tord snorts.
Whether it was luck or suave, strategic planning on Edd's end, the boys couldn't tell, but what they do know is that the sketchbook ‘of utmost importance’ had been long forgotten afterwards, replaced with the comforts of Edd and his presence like it was meant to be.

TOM (Established relationship)
“Jeez, it’s freezing.” Tom grumbles through gritted teeth, rubbing his hands together like a simple housefly.
It was the first week of December. By cruel coincidence, according to their ‘chore’ rotation at the house, It was Tom’s turn to head out and buy groceries for the entire gang. Tom took the liberty to take his partner with him.
“It’s so you can suffer with me.” He said, dragging you out and towards the nearest grocery market. ‘Nearest’ being at least 30 minutes away by foot due to the fact that the car they share as a group is in repairs. Well, that wouldn’t have been the case if Edd knew how to parallel park.
Tom loathed December, not only for Christmas, but for how inconvenient the weather is. Not even his usual blue hoodie could fight against the raging power of zero-degree weather.
“We could buy you some gloves.” You nodded towards one of the aisles as you both entered the grocery. Tom continues to shove his hands into his pockets, shivering slightly as the cool, air-condition breeze greeted him.
“I had gloves, but Tord hid them.”
“Are you sure it was him?”
“Who else would love to make my life unbearable?” It was a common habit for Tom to blame Tord for any inconvenience in his life– Partly in jest, and other times, in total seriousness– but, truthfully, Tom couldn’t care about who or what has responsibility over his misery right now.
“Well, can you hold this for me? Just for a minute.” You instead asked as you picked out some cans from the shelves while Tom held a basket in his other hand.
“Yeah, sure, whatever.”
It was warm. Familiar– Like how it would feel to loiter on his bed, wrapping a blanket over his shivering body and relishing in the smell of its cotton. It’s like all sense of crisp chill in his body left the moment he grasped whatever it was he’s holding.
Tom began to furrow his eyebrows together as they circled different aisles. ‘I still need a carton of milk, some bacon but not the brand with the green text–’
You stared at him as he’s deep in his contemplation. It’s been 10 or 15 minutes since you’ve slipped your hand in his. Tom doesn’t even notice how he squeezes it from time to time like a stress ball when he’s trying to recall which specific facial cream Matt asked him to buy at Aisle 7.
This continues even when you’re past the cashier. By the time you’ve reached the doors of the mart, you think Tom still hasn’t noticed until he looks down. Others may mistake that flat, assessing look for indifference or boredom, but you see how the tip of his ears and nose go red, and it’s certainly not from the cold.
“Real smooth of you.” He murmurs.
“I figured it would warm you up.”
You don’t miss how the sides of his lips quirk up, ever so slightly. Then, he gives your hand three squeezes, like a finality that ends the trip on a good note. Even on the walk home, he doesn't let go, and suddenly, the Winter season doesn’t seem so bleak anymore.

MATT (Established relationship)
“I’m telling you, it has to be that man in a yellow hat! He’s the killer!”
“No way. He was in the kitchen, he has an alibi! It’s gotta be the purple guy.”
Movie nights with Matt were fun, especially if it came with a little bet. Thursday nights are often reserved for Mysteries and Thrillers where the both of you were snuggled, sides pressed together on the couch with the typical bowl of popcorn in one hand and some drinks on the other.
“--Oh! Okay, if I’m right, you have to hold my hand!”
“Well, I propose… that–” Matt says slowly, looking around the room as if scouting for some kind of leverage to use on you. You can see the exact moment the invisible light-bulb above his head lights up.
“Is that supposed to be a bad thing?” You snort.
“It’s supposed to be a consequence. If you win, then.. Well, I’m at your mercy!”
Matt glances at the bottom right, eyeing the remaining time left for the movie. They were already 30 minutes in and every second felt excruciatingly painful on his end. At some point, Matt simply stopped paying attention for good, opting to daydream about how good it would feel once he gets to clasp his hands onto your own.
“Come on, Matt. You lost.” You say, shifting around to face him.
The movie was decent, mayhaps, a little predictable on your end as the Purple guy ended up being the culprit. Matt spent at least a good 5 minutes gawking at the credits before waving his arms around, trying to come up with some flimsy arguments as to why the movie was wrong and that he totally won–
“Nonsense. Honestly, I think I was a little misguided that’s all, and besides, I had pretty good suspicions and intuition, it just so happen to be slightly misplaced–”
“Hey, can you hold this for me?”
You let him continue his tangent– After all, he has a fairly lovely voice– but primarily do so to catch him by surprise. It was the one thing everyone in the group knew about Matt: When he’s focused and totally zoned in, he lacks awareness for anything else, as if tunnel visioning with fervent passion.
“Yes, of course–” He holds his hand out, “Anyway, back to what I was saying…”
“I was hoping you’d do that!” He laughs, running his thumb over your knuckles. “I knew it. You would never have passed on an opportunity to hold my hand.”
You put your hand on his, giving it a slight squeeze and it’s as if you’ve snapped him out of a trance. Matt blinks once, then twice, before his expression breaks into one equivalent of pure glee. His grin stretches wide, as he tugs you closer.
Matt moves your arm closer before pressing a firm peck on the back of your hand, all while staring into your eyes with an easy confidence screaming that he knows you don’t mean it. He may not be a super sleuth of some kind, but he certainly knows how to navigate the mysteries of your own heart like breathing.
“Don’t let it get to your head. I could revoke your hand-holding rights in this instance.”
heh… tumblr fandom matchups? now that’s a name i haven’t heard round here in a looooong time 🚬 (gif of old man blowing dust off book) i hope i did this clearly enough!

mbti: INTJ and EMPHASIS on the “I”. I’ve struggled with social anxiety my entire life and have only recently begun to get over it. In a room full of people, I will always observe quietly before jumping in to ANY conversation. I feel that it pertains to my generally cautious nature as well; I like to have fun and get a little crazy with my close friends, but most of the time, I’m not the one direcy making the reckless decisions.
gender: female she/her
appearance: i’m 5 foot 4 (~163 cm) and my build is pretty average, i weigh like 120 pounds/54.43kg but i’m pretty flat-chested. i have wavy, dark brown hair that goes just past my shoulders and feathered blunt bangs. my clothing style varies from day to day but my love will always be for the original 90s grunge look. some days i’ll be more goth or hippie or emo or something, but nothing beats a band tee from my dad and a flannel i thrifted. i also regularly get compliments on my eye makeup which also tends to be pretty grungy on the regular.
hobbies: making art, creative writing, playing guitar (i have two—their names are rose (acoustic) and the black queen (electric)), listening to music, collecting CDs, astronomy and stargazing, history, birdwatching, learning German, learning about other languages, biology, chemistry
passions: art is, and has always been, my #1 favorite hobby. My preferred medium is ink—you can do so much with just a pen. I’ve made portraits, still lifes, landscapes, comics, fashion sketches, and of course just little doodles with only a pen. As much as I love art, though, I’m starting my first year of pharmacy school in the fall! I’m excited to pursue pharmacy as a career—science and chemistry have always been a sort of wildcard interest of mine. I began learning German when I was 10 years old and I have officially achieved a STAMP-4S fluency score of 6! I am very proud of my bilingualism (although I get nervous when speaking) because I am entirely self-taught (other than conversing with my German friends online). My dream is to earn a work permit and a pharmaceutical license for Germany so I can practice pharmacy there one day.
fears and pet peeves: I fear abandonment, failure, and wasps. I don’t want to live my entire life surrounded by people only to end up alone. If I’m not the best at something, then I might as well be nothing entirely. I hate those nasty pollinator fuckers like bro i wasnt even near your nest CALM DOWN 😭😭😭 As for pet peeves, others using weaponized incompetence against me genuinely pisses me off so bad. In that same vein, I can’t stand people who don’t give enough effort into things that actually matter. Also people who judge books by their covers and make opinions based purely on stereotypes.
what do i value in partners?: SOMEONE WHO CAN LISTEN TO ME AND REGISTER WHAT I AM SAYING. I have had an unfortunate amount of romantic experiences that ended becaue I realized my partner was never actually taking me seriously in a multitude of situations. Listening—JUST LISTENING, not even providing advice or feedback—genuinely makes such a difference. I also look for someone who will drop everything and go in an adventure with me, while simultaneously making me stop and think twice when I do nearly make a stupid decision. Attentiveness is important! You know what else is important? CONSENT!!!!! Consent is really sexy. I don’t care what it is or how embarrassing it seems, I am a huge advocate for simply asking for permission—whether that be for physical or emotional boundaries. On a more shallow note, I also look for someone who has a good fashion sense or can at least appreciate my own fashion sense. A material desire for a character trait, yes, but important to me nonetheless.
what do i avoid in partners?: as I stated before, I avoid ignorance, incompetence, and people who don’t think consent is important. Also, people who can’t read the room to know when a joke isn’t funny or what to say in certain situations. Situational awareness is cool! Other than the obvious negative character traits that nobody really likes in ANYONE, let alone a partner, I tend to ignore people who can be overly clingy or who are seemingly unable to survive without my attention. As stated previously, I am a huge introvert, and my alone time is important to me. Something I think is cool in a partner is similar introvertedness—sitting quietly in the same room together while doing completely different activities while still being in each other’s presence sounds like a dream to me.
fun facts and extra tidbits: i have 3 cats so i hope my partner likes animals. speaking of which, I’m really into bugs—specifically picking them up and showing someone them and spewing information concernjng everything I know about that insect (my favorites are polyphemus moths). In addition to my fluency in both German and English, I plan on picking up a third language soon (thinking about irish or turkish).
Sorry it took forever and a day!!
Edd!
Basic pick I know I know but two artsy cat people who value just being good people above all with their partners??? Match made in heaven my friend! He’s very impressed by your German and honestly if you hadn’t have told him that you are self taught he would have genuinely thought you might be German and just moved over! He may be a little touchy at times like hands on the shoulder here and there but a lot of the time even just for a hug he wants to ask you first. He’s also a good listener. It’s hard to articulate yourself sometimes and he knows that well. So take all the time you need. He’s here for you!

The bumpy road jolted you awake, the bright sun hitting your face through the window, blinding you. You sat up, blinking. Right. Car seat.
The trees you saw on the side of the road were an indication that you were pretty close to your destination.
You grabbed your phone and looked at the time, it was now 11:14 AM. You had been on the road for about 5 hours. 'God, my back hurts...'
You guessed you had about 15 minutes left. More or less.
Having nothing to do, you looked at your earbuds that had died a while ago. Of course, you couldn't use that, so you chose your backup earphones instead. The old earphones crackled when you plugged them in, sounding like they had been dunked underwater.
Not even two minutes later, the car came to a stop. You thought you were there already. But, looking outside, it was the garage. Big BP just past the town sign.
"Quick toilet break." Your mum unlocked the car door and unbuckled her seatbelt. "We'll just grab a couple of things for lunch."
Stepping out of the car with your hands in your coat pockets as you glanced around the area, you could see the neighborhood just down the street. Your gaze moved to the shop, and in front was a boy around your age, maybe older—wearing a dark green hoodie, brown hair, though you hadn't seen his face—carrying what seemed to be a pack of cola and a few bottles of beer.
He fumbled with his car door while balancing the things in his hand. Unable to do so, he gave up and decided to just put down the beers on the roof of his red car and open the door with his now free hand.
He shoved the pack of cola onto the passenger seat.
You walked past the brunette as he closed the car door. You didn't stare, but his fingers were red from the cold bottles.
As soon as you walked into the shop, the AC hit you in the face. The smell of hot dogs and burnt coffee filled your senses.
Browsing for something to eat, you walked down each aisle. Nothing really seemed to catch your eye, so you just chose your regular things. Pot noodle, and two energy drinks. Though they had sausage rolls under the heat lamp, you decided to get one to add to the noodle.
Meeting your mum at the register, you glanced at her basket. Pot noodle and a cup of coffee.
'Huh? Great minds think alike.'
"More caffeine?" Your mum raised an eyebrow. "Thought you would've wanted a nap when we get home." She said while going through her purse.
Glancing around, you saw a pack of cigarettes. Your fingers grabbed a pack and tossed it onto the counter.
"You can't get that. I'm not paying for it." Your mum turned to look at you, snatching the cigarettes to put them back.
"Don't." You blocked her hand. "I'll pay for it."
"That's not the point."
"Then why'd you say it like that? I'm getting it. I'm paying for it anyway." You grabbed the cigarettes and placed them back onto the counter.
"Fine. Then you can just pay for all of your items, right?"
'Oh, come on.'
"Seriously? Can you not?"
She rolled her eyes. The cashier cleared his throat. Boy your age, name tag that said, Dean. "Nice day out, ain't it? You ready to check out?"
"Ah yes. Just these, thank you." Your mum
"I haven't seen you around town before."
"We're new to town. It's a pleasure to meet you—" Your mum glanced at his name tag. "Dean."
Not wanting to be a part of the conversation, you turned up your phone's volume. Music blasting in your ears. You simply looked outside the shop window. The red car was already gone. You barely got a look at him.
" So... Long drive?"
Your mum nudged you, snapping you out of your trance. Not hearing a word he said, you nodded anyway. Offering the same polite smile you used for everything.
"Yeah, I bet. You look tired." He let out a chuckle. Though you didn't say a word back. Just smiling. He took a glance at your earphones. You didn't seem like you were focused on the conversation.
"…Right. Cool. We’re just having a conversation now, I guess..."
His awkward smile made you feel a tiny bit guilty.
He moved to scan the items. As you turned away, you didn’t notice the brief look he gave you. Somewhere between confused and amused.
"That'll be £11.50. Will that be cash or card?"
"Card, please." Your mum paid for the items while Dean packed them into a plastic bag. Holding them up, waiting for someone to take them. Your mum still seemed busy, so you took the initiative to take the bag.
The warm air hit you as you stepped outside.
Your mum unlocked the car door. You slid into the back seat, dropping the bag onto the seat next to you.
The town passed by in a blur. The houses were nearly identical. It was just a regular suburban neighborhood after all.
Not long after, you pulled up to the driveway. Your fingers were on the car door as you opened it. Grabbing the bag of food on the way out.
The front door clicked shut behind you. You slipped off your shoes without thinking, leaving them by the door.
You took off your coat jacket, dropping it on the sofa.
Boxes were already stacked along the hallway. You grabbed one on your way upstairs, arms straining slightly as you carried it into your room. You dropped it on the floor, letting it sit there for a second.
'…Yeah, no.' You stepped back. Unpacking could wait.
Closing the door to your room, you headed back downstairs. Phone in hand, stuffing a bit of money into your pocket on the way out. You stuffed one hand inside your pocket as the other held onto the railing.
You passed by your mum in the living room, boxes half-open around her. You quickly took your coat that was on the sofa. She glanced up as you dropped to the floor, slipping your shoes back on.
"Where are you going?"
"Out. Just gonna have a look around." You tugged your laces tighter.
She paused, something still in her hand. "And who’s going with you?"
"No one." You stood, brushing your hands on your jeans.
She frowned. "No. You’re not going out on your own."
"Yes, I am." You exhaled through your nose. Reaching for your phone and checking the time. "Get off my back, mum."
"I’m just looking out for you." She set the box aside, giving you a proper look now. "We’ve just got here. You don’t know anyone yet."
"I’ll be fine. I’ll call if something happens, alright?"
She hesitated, then sighed. "…Just be careful."
"Sure." Already halfway out the door. It clicked shut behind you.
You pulled up Google Maps just in case you got lost, realizing you didn’t actually know where you were going. You just decided to follow the straight path. The houses lined up neatly beside you, the architecture nearly identical, if it wasn't for the color.
Your gaze left the path, now just wandering around. Observing. Your eye caught something orange moving, jumping from tree to tree. Upon closer inspection, it was a squirrel. Was it following you?
'My first friend is a squirrel. Funny—' Something interrupted your thoughts. Walking straight into something tall.
Looking up, you saw a pale-faced boy—Ginger hair. And it seemed like he had a friend with him.
"Oh— Sorry about that." The boy was the first to apologize.
"Uh... No worries." You paused. Wait, shouldn't you be the one apologizing for not watching where you were going?
"Wait, no. I should be the one apologizing. I wasn't looking where I was going."
"It's all good." He waved it off. With that, you continued your walk.
Wait. That was your chance to make new friends, and you blew it.
You slowed down. You weren’t even sure you wanted to turn back, already trying to come up with an excuse. Still debating if you actually would.
You clenched your fists inside your coat pockets. Nerves taking over. Then you turned around, walking back to the ginger boy.
"Sorry, do you know the way to a bookshop?"
"Mm? Oh, of course! Want us to show you?" He stepped aside slightly, gesturing to his friend.
"Yeah, that'd be nice." You smiled politely. So far, so good.
"Say, I haven't seen you around before."
"I just moved into town today." You rubbed the back of your neck.
"Ah, well then. The name's Matt."
"Pleasure meeting you, Matt."
"Oh, and that's Tom." He pointed to the brunette in the blue hoodie.
The door behind them opened. A familiar brunette in a green hoodie. Wait, is he the same guy from BP?
"Oh. Hi, Edd. This is… uh—" He glanced at you.
'That's his name? Edd?'
"Took you long enough." Tom took a swig from a flask.
"We're showing her where the bookshop is. Wanna come?"
"Wait— 'we'?? I didn't say I was coming." Tom clearly wasn't.
"Sure, why not. I do need to get more sketchbooks." Edd locks the door, and walks over. "And you're coming, Tom."
Edd and Matt lead the way. You were now walking besides Tom. You thought about saying something.
'Should I say something...?' Nothing came out. He didn’t seem like he was going to start anything either.
…Right.
"So..."
He didn't really look at you. “Yeah?"
You paused, already regretting it. "...Nothing."
Now looking away from him. God, that was awkward.
You fumbled with your coat sleeves, fingers picking on the fabric. The wind blew from the north, bringing the cold air with them.
The walk to the library was rather quiet, if it wasn't for the two boys in front of you chatting. And the occasional jab towards Tom. It seriously felt like you were an intruder in the group—well, you were. You just met them today after all.
But it didn't stop you from laughing at some of their jokes.
You almost bumped into Edd as he stopped in his tracks. He stood in front of a shop. Waterstones.
He took a step forward before turning around to face you.
"And here we are. The bookshop." He opened the door to the building, walking in first. Holding the door for you. Letting it go when Matt was about to enter, making him run into the glass door.
The cold air from the room spills from the open door. 'Does every building in this town have AC?'
You drifted to the novel section, scanning the shelves, but nothing caught your eye. You glanced at the classics section, but went the opposite way.
You moved on to the music section. The vinyls and CDs decorated the shelves. You passed all the other genres before finding one you liked.
Someone standing beside you made you jump. It was Tom. How long has he been there?
He was looking at the Pierce the Veil vinyls. Putting them down to pick up a Panic! At The Disco one.
"You getting one?" You spoke up without any thoughts.
"Mm? Nah, just looking. Probably just gonna download em from YouTube." Ah, alright.
You probably weren't going to get one either. This trip was just an excuse after all, and you hadn't brought enough money.
"Are you guys done looking?" Edd appeared behind you. Carrying a book in his hand, a sketchbook to be more specific.
"Yeah, we're done here." Tom spoke for the both of you.
Edd walks over to the register, hands digging in his pockets.
You pulled out your phone, ready to message your mum. You glanced at the time, it's 01:03 PM.
"Ready to go?" Seems like Edd finished checking out.
"Actually… I was thinking my mum could pick me up? You guys okay getting back?"
"Yeah, that’s fine." Tom finally replies, voice level.
Edd nods, already adjusting his grip on the sketchbook like it’s just another part of the plan. "Alrighty then."
You hesitate for half a second. Just long enough to feel the shift, but there’s nothing else to say. You nodded back. "Okay."
The moment passes like it was never anything big.
Edd turns first, starting down the path. Tom follows after him without rushing. You fall into step beside them a second later. Stopping at the door.
"You guys go ahead. Thanks for showing me the way." And with that they continued walking.
You texted your mum to come pick you up.
You: Mum, can you come pick me up.
Mum: Sure, sweetheart.
Mum: Where are you?
You: At Waterstones.
Mum: Alrighty, I'm on my way!
You leaned against the wall. The cold air combed through your hair. You shoved the phone back in your coat pocket.
Your stomach growled, it was loud enough for you to hear. You hadn't eaten your lunch yet.
Not long after, a familiar car driving towards you. It's your mum. She rolled down the window. "Well? Get in."
You opened the door to the passenger seat, sliding into the vehicle. Closing the door. You sat there for a second before putting on the seatbelt that your mum insisted you put on.
The drive back was peaceful.
You passed by the same group that you walked with. Though not saying anything.
"You made any friends today?" Your mum broke the silence.
"Yeah. They walked me to the bookshop." You're not looking at her, rather at your phone.
"That’s nice, sweetheart.” A small pause. “What are they like? Are they nice?"
“Yeah… they’re nice, I guess.”
"Mm." She glances at you. "You could invite them over sometime."
Personality: I'm more of a reclusive, quiet person. Not necessarily shy but I usually tend to keep to myself unless someone approaches me for conversation first. I like to be kind and helpful when I can, but I sometimes also get frustrated when I feel overwhelmed. I'm only clingly with the very few people I consider closest to me such as my best friend or immediate family and get antsy/worried if I don't hear from them for a day or two. I'm the type of person who would plan a mall trip, have specific stores I want to hit, then immediately be ready to leave after and get upset if anything interrupted that plan/any detours needed to be made.
Hobbies: Music (listening and I also used to play alto sax in school band), watching anime/reading manga, and drawing. I like horror media and classic rock music the most but I read/watch a little of everything
Passions: I'm a university student majoring in anthropology. I'm thinking on focusing on forensic anthropology in the future (i have a forensic anth field school this summer! 🥳)
Pet Peeves: People who are passive aggressive instead of just saying what they mean
Value in Partners: I usually like someone who's honest and more extroverted/outwardly affectionate or romantic than me since I'm more on the quiet side. It's not that I never reciprocate, sometimes I just like that little push to see where the line is at so I can meet them there if that makes sense. I would want someone I can have fun with but also have domestic, quiet times with
Avoid in Partners: I don't usually like partners that are too overbearing or insecure going into the relationship. For example, I wouldn't like someone who wants to facetime while we sleep every night or wouldn't trust me if we didn't share locations rather than just a quick text check in. I do still value my personal space a lot and don't like the feeling of being monitored 24/7.
Thank you in advance!!! I'm very excited to see how this turns out <3
Edd!
You’re both decently relaxed people , he’d always be there for you when you get overwhelmed and appreciates your routine! Honestly he just lets you do that stuff and helps manage it to go smoothly. A good pair! He doesn’t push or prod so he doesn’t mind that you don’t reciprocate as much as him. He knows you show it in your own way y’know? He also is the type to trust you. He wouldn’t have even gotten into a relationship if he didn’t trust you
Is it alright if you do the main 4 from Eddsworld x F!Reader who works as an acrobat at a circus??? Can be platonic or romantic!
Eddsworld x fem!acrobatic reader
Masterlist
I’ll do platonic hcs but also one or two romantic specific!!
• he absolutely adores your skills.
• he more than likely met you through a weird bunch of shenanigans as usual and ended up in the circus with the others!
• if you work in a travelling circus too he makes sure to check in with you once a day because he knows stuff like that is proooobably stressful
• also on a night you have off he’d totally try his best to treat you (mostly just relaxing because being an acrobat is taxing)
• (ROMANTIC) he admits that in one of the tricks where you came towards the audience is the moment he fell for you and he thinks of it often
• he was not really paying attention at the circus- he’s not the biggest circus guy
• but when the others start talking to you and they all get to know you…alright yeah you’re pretty cool
• he offers you some of his drink before every show for some “liquid courage” as a joke
• he doesn’t wanna admit it but he has wondered if he asked would you maybw teach him a trick or two?? Like he’d be terrible but seeing you do your stuff looks pretty fun tbh
• (ROMANTIC) has imagined something like the Spider-Man kiss with you, also when he goes to the circus with the others just to support you be can barely look at you he’s so down bad
• was probably the one who started the hijinx that got them to the circus! He was completely entranced by you!
• he honestly couldn’t stop starting while you were doing all your flips and stuff-
• when they get the chance to know you personally he’s asking a million questions and attempting all the tricks (fails each time for those wondering)
• he loves the cool costumes of the circus too! Has also asked if there’s like a strongman type thing but for a handsome man because he’d for that perfectly (only half joking)
• (ROMANTIC) he loves to quickly find you after your shows and whisk you away in his arms while kissing you all over telling you just how wonderful you did
• he was more focused on the animal acts and the slapstick comedy of the clowns (and heckling, don’t forget the heckling!)
• but when everyone is introducing you he definitely asks how far you can stretch for…….purposes.
• he also wants to see if you do any mad tricks like with fire and what’s the most dangerous one??
• (ROMANTIC)if you’re warming up or practicing or even just working out he has to be there watching. Not only are you going to go on stage and he will admire you there , he also gets the privilege of adoring you here. The beauty behind the star
