well now that i’m back let me post a moon yoshi ! it’s an idea that heathcliff n i had where they’d be paler and iridescent with retractable webbing for gliding instead of fluttering, since that’d be useless on the moon anyway

i’ll put my extra rambling under the cut so the post isn’t longer than it has to be ✌️^_^

with lots of work i was finally able to achieve the art style i’ve been trying to get for years ^_^ i wanted to mimic yoshi’s island and kirby’s dreamland 3 so i’ve made and downloaded countless crayon brushes but it turns out pixelation was the key! i’ll show the unpixelated crayon brush compared to the pixelated one below to show how the latter looks much more like what i wanted

and compared to the inspirations

the intention wasn’t to perfectly copy them, i still want to draw with my own flair, that’s why they were just inspirations and not goals!

now that i have the look i’ve been working for i can make the comic i’ve been planning for years! look forward to yoshi’s wooden world if i have the time to get that started ^_^ i’ll make a cover before i make the actual first comic so don’t be expecting a comic page soon
