While recovering from a rather serious surgery, I decided to watch the Venom movies. Although originally Venom and Eddie were antagonists in the Spider-Man universe, disconnecting them from that and giving them their own story, which made them anti-heroes, was a very good idea. It's interesting to note that while in the animated series they left out a detail of Venom and Eddie's relationship for obvious reasons, in the comics they were linked by a romantic relationship, they even had offspring (the homophobes are already growing blood pressure and a vein in their asses is popping). While I doubt they'll go in any way that direction in the upcoming third film, the second film quite clearly suggests that Eddie and his symbiote are connected by something more than simple friendship. Starting with the scene of Venom cooking Eddie breakfast, through the arguments between them, forcing each other to apologize (mostly Venom demanded it), stating that they need couples therapy, and ending with Venom professing his love for Eddie on the beach at sunset. How romantic it was 👨❤️👨
We are left waiting for the third film.
(I mistook the color of Eddie's eyes, he has green and not brown. I will fix it at the other drawings).
