oh god. this is literally so big brained. tommyana with full awareness of the buckneddie dynamic. witnessing up close the insane way they orbit around each other. being a wrench in the gears of their seamless coparenting. being visitors in their boyfriend's hospital rooms while buckeddie is the actual emergency contact. eddie handing tommy a drink with the cold-eyed vitriol that buck used when blanking ana and pretending she didn't exist during the blackout. and the second bucktommy breakfast breakup was shot in the same harsh too-real lighting that has only ever been used once before, for the eddieana breakup AND!!!!!! A BREAKUP!!!!!! TAKING PLACE IN THE SAME KITCHEN!!!!!!! and ana's willingness to not say any of it out loud. and pretend she doesn't know. tommy willing to have buck settle for him as long as eddie isn't right there breathing down their necks every day. oh my god.

the inherent tragedy of eddieana is that ana was the wrong person for eddie specifically because she was willing to be exactly what he was asking for. because what he was asking for wasn’t what he wanted and he resented her for being the perfect woman for a version of eddie diaz that didn’t exist no matter how desperately he wanted him to

WIP Wednesday

Eddie should be getting fucked and he isn't:(

So until Buck finally gets on that and in that I've decided Eddie's gonna get pegged:))

"Alright, what do you think?"

Eddie watches as Ana opens the box, his eyes widening as she pulls out a big pink…thing that she immediately starts waving around like a toy. Which, Eddie supposes, it is.

"That's…" Eddie points at it, feeling more and more at a loss for words the longer he makes eye contact with it. "That's supposed to be going inside of me?" He asks, his eyebrows scrunching a little as his gaze flicks back and forth between Ana's face and the ginormous dick in her hands.

"Yeah." Ana nods, a small giggle slipping past her lips.

"I don't remember you saying it was gonna be that big." He knows, logistically, that it'll fit—he's a firefighter, he's seen people put some insane things inside of themselves— he just assumed that they'd start a little smaller, y'know considering it's the first time he'll have something up his ass.

"Eddie." Ana shakes her head, smiling indulgently at him. "It's the same size as you, which is what you told me to get."

watched the eddieana cupcake kitchen disaster breakup scene again and I just -

ana knew

she knew why eddie was breaking up with her

she didn't say buck's name, but she didn't have to

she saw it when she brought eddie food at the firehouse and buck pulled chris into that bear hug while eddie looked on fondly

it wasn't a shock when eddie told her to go home

maybe a disappointment, but she was resigned to it

“It’s not my ruler!” Eddie snapped, pinching the bridge of his nose in frustration. It wasn’t until Buck’s next question that he realized that he’d trapped himself.

“Then whose ruler is it?”

Eddie floundered for a moment, trying to find a non-incriminating response, before just saying with a resigned sigh, “It was Ana’s.”

“Why would Ana leave an old ruler in your nightstand-“ Buck’s voice cut out suddenly, and his eyes bulged. “No way.”
