Imagine scolding Eddie for ignoring you while he’s out being Venom.
Eddie slid into the apartment rather than just walked, as if he was being chased by someone. You were used to this sort of behavior by now, considering all that he is. The bit of sweat on his forehead, the damp hair, the heavy breathing - and, of course, the late hour, with it being three AM and all. You had been waiting for him in the kitchen, arms folded. He always called if he was going to be later than one in the morning, just so he wouldn’t keep you waiting up all night.
He knew he was in trouble by the way that he froze when he saw your face. You approached him slowly, not taking your eyes off of him, not letting the glare fall from your face. You reached into the pocket of his denim jacket, found his phone easily and pulled it out. Just from that movement alone, it lit up, showing a picture of you as his lock screen, smiling.
“Would you look at that, it does work.” You said, sarcastically, holding it up so he could see the time. “You know what these are for right? This is a telephone. You can call people on it. And people can call you, and then you can press a big green button and talk to them. But all that you know is the ignore function, apparently.”
“I uhh-” He started but you cut him off by holding the phone closer to his face.
“I’ve had this talk with you too, Venom. Couch for you boys tonight, you can snuggle yourself.” You dropped the phone into Eddie’s hand, turned on the heels of your socks, and headed to the bedroom, closing the door behind you.
