I would think that for most people who read the above quote would find it offensive and insensitive towards countries that  don't have the resources to feed their people. If you know who Sam Kinison is then you might just recognize this from one of his stand ups and find this hilarious. The written word does have power to it, but so does the voice. Sam had a very unique way he spoke. Some would just call it yelling, but he did it well. It was his voice that made him an inspirational priest. It also was the same voice that made his jokes about his ex-wives so funny. Sam Kinison, George Carlin, Eddie Murphy, and most importantly Robin Williams all were/are actors with "silly voices." I think the voice is the most important part of acting and means using it in all the ways you can. Yes, words do have their own power, but it is the use of the voice that lets the words be heard.
