Edelstance is such a great, underrated ship. On the surface it’s mad scientist/stuck up princess but then you think about how the Crest eugenics system is probably horrible to mental illness and that both these ladies, in different ways, have secret Crests that have been a crushing burden that nearly ruined their lives and it turns out there’s a story of two women who find consolation in someone who will understand them just below the surface. There’s a meaty romance there. And it’s mad scientist/stuck up princess
