What have y'all been reading recently?
I've been jumping around quite a bit with genre! I binged V. E. Schwab's Shades of Magic trilogy in less than a week. It was pretty good but I don't think it lived up to the intense hype that I've seen for it. Still, I definitely enjoyed it and Rhy's character arc is one of the best that I've ever seen, hands down.
I also finally finished Dune by Frank Herbert. I love Isaac Asimov's work so I've been trying to read more classic sci-fi. Once I got into the story I thought it was very intriguing. There's a lot of room for discussion surrounding the ideas he introduces.
After that I wanted to try something a bit lighter! I don't read much romance but I really liked Edenbrooke by Julianne Donaldson. It was a fun historical romance and I adored both of the main characters.

If you have not read this, you're missing out. It's a romance, but filled with humor and sarcasm and stubbornness and polite and kind people. It's one of my favorite books of all time.
