Amos was looking forward to coffee with Edgar. It’d been awhile since he’d seen the other man, and Amos was always eager to connect with more people -- especially old friends. They agree to meet on a Saturday, so Amos packs a small bag of things for Cedric to do while they talk. Amos arrives at the shop early, ordering a latte for himself, and a hot chocolate for Amos. He gets them both a pastry to split before finding a spot to sit outside with their drinks and food. He hadn’t a chance to warn Edgar ahead of time, but he hopes he doesn’t mind Cedric accompanying them. As a single father, it’s not like Amos has anyone to watch Cedric. Even if he did, he prefers to keep his son by his side. 

Once they’re comfortably seated, Amos helps Cedric get out his coloring things. He draws with his son while waiting for Edgar, happy to just converse with Cedric all afternoon.

It was Saturday. The perfect and only day that Mizi went out for karaoke. He didn’t seem like the type to enjoy such social activities, but this was something he grew up participating in with his parents. So for him there was a lot of familiarity and nostalgia tied to it. 

This was usually a time when Mizi could forget about the rest of the island and his worries that were tied into it-- however, this night would be different. And the first indication that this night wasn’t going to go how he planned was practically forced upon him as he accidentally ran into someone while attempting to enter the karaoke bar. He took a step back, clearly jarred by the contact. Like always, bowing his head slightly in apology was the first reaction. “Sorry, sorry I-- “ He let out a small laugh, but it was cut short once he recognized who it was he ran into.

“...What’re you doing here?” The question was framed in a more accusatory tone than Mizi’s would’ve liked, so he attempted to back track a bit. “I mean-- I didn’t expect you to be the type to..”

Who: Fabian Prewett & Edgar Bones When: February 21st. After Breakfast.  Where: Outside of the Great Hall. 

Fabian had hardly eaten anything at breakfast that morning. He had been far too distracted thinking about Glenda and how she had woken up in the Hospital Wing, battered, bruised, and missing a week’s worth of memories. Fabian hadn’t been with her long before the Aurors and Madame Pomfrey kicked him out of the Hospital Wing in order to interrogate and treat her. In which order, he could only guess. The thought of her alone after such a traumatic experience left his stomach tied in knots, as he knew there was no way for him to help.He felt like he needed to do something, and that was when he determined to speak with Edgar. 

Edgar Bones had been the mastermind behind the plan that nearly got Glenda killed. Did he know the repercussions of his mission? Did he understand his responsibility in how the turn of events resulted in Glenda’s injuries? Fabian intended to ask, if not inform him. As students began to file out of the Great Hall, Fabian hastily caught up with his fellow Order member. “Bones!” He called, trying to catch the other boy’s attention. “I need to speak to you.”

Moving In

Even if Rory hadn’t spent the last two days with her mother, who spent her waking hours weeping into a handkerchief, she would’ve been excited to finally leave. Her parents seemed inordinately happy for people who’s only daughter was informing them she she was moving out and leaving their society. SO happy, in fact, that they paid her a hefty sum of her dowry in order to make sure that she never showed her face at a pureblood function again. They would rather have no daughter than one they considered damaged goods. 

The biggest benefit, however, was their secrecy on the matter. The spoiled engagement couldn’t be withheld from the public forever, but luckily Jude and Rory’s mothers were both horribly embarassed by the scandal, and thusly wouldn’t be informing anyone until they absolutely had to- which would be the ball in two weeks time. When Rory and Juse didn’t show arm in arm, questions would be asked and the parents would be expected to answer. Rory assumed that not long after Dolohov would come looking for her, and thankfully the only person on the planet who knew where she was was Edgar. 

So this found her on Edgar’s doorstep, a head full of blonde hair and a tote bag filled with everything that she owned. The hair was a choice that she had made in a fit of paranoia, and she absolutely hated it. But if it kept people from asking questions, then it was more than worth it. Timidly she raised her fist and knocked several times on the door. “Open up, it’s your roomie!” She tried to ignore the hammering in her chest as she waited for the door to open.
