Figured I'd make some cutting boards out of all my offcuts. Lots of pieces were too small or too warped but I was able to get 5 little boards from everything 👌 8 different kinds of wood used in total💪 Maple, Walnut, Padauk, Purple Heart, Cherry, Ash, Brazilian Teak and beech wood 👍 . Huy, esta tabla, esta tabla… Era una tabla muy simple de hacer, (hago muchos objetos durante el año combinando diferentes tipos de maderas). Una vez tuve las especificaciones claras, las medidas, especies a utilizar y el diseño, esa simpleza me permitiría invertir algo de tiempo para mejorar el embalaje ya que no quería usar plásticos o por lo menos reducirlos a la mínima expresión; en pocas palabras pim pam pum (términos que usamos en nuestro taller para denominar tareas que resultan simples y rápidas). ¡Pero no!, Mientras intercambiaba las piezas de madera buscando un bonito patrón, se me vino a la cabeza la pregunta envenenada, ¿Y si…?, ¿Corto las testas a 45º? en lugar de cortarlas a 90º; ups solo ese detalle me costo multiplicar x 3 el tiempo de pegado y el riesgo de cometer un error, pero que le vamos a hacer? Así es mi vida, en vez de ir “de lo simple a lo complejo”, yo “hago complejo lo simple”.
