Foolish, foolish
With a tight grin, Ed pauses for just long enough to say, “The best things’re always complicated. Isn’t that what you said?”
‘Troublemaker,’ Greed manages.
Ling repeats it aloud. “Troublemaker,” he agrees.

I bring to you once again some fanart of another fanfiction by my dear friend @kattythingz , a scene from Chapter 6 of A Crown with Gems and Gold! I highly recommend you read it if you aren't already keeping up with it like me!
Ed asking greed for help with cleaning/maintaining his automail (maybe a tough spot to reach on his shoulder) and getting VERY flustered because greed is VERY close and also VERY focussed on keeping his things in tip top shape mhm (def not internally melting that ed is letting him so close and savouring all of it)
(I am so sorry anon I thought my inbox was empty ANYWAY HERE YOU GO, I made it Greedling while they're camping but Ling barely shows up so hopefully that's okay)
Greed absentmindedly poked at the pile of flaming sticks in front of him, using it as a lame excuse to keep looking at the man across from him.
Edward's usual grumpy expression had relaxed slightly this evening - probably due to them being close to arriving at Resembool - his skin glowing in the pale moonlight that filtered down to them through the rotting roof of the abandoned barn they were currently hiding in.
Greed slid his gaze down to his companion's automail, eyes gently tracing the well-crafted lines and curves of the prosthetic and the grown out end of his plait that had been slung over his shoulder.
Greed couldn't remember much from before, from his previous life, but he felt hazy sensations of that automail arm being something to put him in his place, figuring out his weaknesses with smarts that the homunculus envied.
Greed's attention turned towards the black fabric hugging Edward's body, not tight enough to be restricting but still enough to show his assets.
If only he got back that red coat then their colours would match, and the greed that made up the core of his being practically sung at the idea of it.
"Hey, idiot, if you're going to keep staring at me then at least be useful while you're at it," Edward snapped, Greed's ruby eyes darting upwards to meet golden ones.
"Huh? I've been making sure the fire doesn't go out," Greed replied before looking down at where his hand had gone limp. "Hm. Suppose I got distracted."
"Just- just get over here, would you?" Edward ordered, cheeks surprisingly flush as Greed moved to sit next to him on the floor.
"What can I do for you?" Greed questioned before grinning, fangs beared with the motion of it. "Just know I'll hold it over you for a favour because I want and deserve everything."
"We both know that's bullshit," Edward half-laughed before shaking his head and quietening again. "No, I- I got some of the wood chip from that last place we slept at caught in my automail and I can't reach it myself. So you can either help with that or go find someone else to ogle."
Greed blinked for a second, processing the information, before failing to smother his excited reaction. "Of course! Sounds really fun! Now, where is it? I'll have you know I've got very deft fingers for a guy of my size. Well... For the size of the guy I used to be. Teenage boys tend to be scrawny and deft, don't they?"
Edward shook his head with a suppressed laugh again before shifting and pulling up the short sleeve of his shirt, cheeks flushing lightly again. "Just- just get it done, okay? It's somewhere between my shoulder and elbow, I think it's brushing the nerve simulators though because it itches like hell."
"I'll have them out in no time," Greed promised as he watched the blonde detach one of the pieces of plating, taking the moment to savour the proximity and the fact that Edward was actually opening up to him.
All the bickering previously about him having Ling's body seemed irrelevant now, barely a faint memory compared to actually being allowed to be his own person in the other's life now.
Greed didn't allow himself too long to think over the swirl of feelings inside himself though, quickly setting to finding the wood chips, taking a few minutes clearing out smaller pieces before struggling with a larger chunk.
"Oh c'mon sweetheart, you can do this," Greed muttered absentmindedly about the wood chip as he struggled to reach it, finally eventually grasping it between the tips of his fingers and pulling it out. "There! That should be it."
Edward's face was flushed a far darker red now, spread out entirely over his cheeks and the bridge of his nose. "Y-yeah, thanks."
"Hey, you good?" Greed questioned, ducking his head to try and catch Edward's gaze.
Edward abruptly stood up, Greed nearly toppling over with how quickly he straightened up where he was sat.
"I'm gonna go wake up Darius and Heinkel for their turn on watch," Edward stated, practically marching off as he quickly left.
Greed blinked, trying to process what had happened.
"Don't be such a tease and that won't happen," Ling's voice chimed from inside their shared mind.
"What? I wasn't!"
"Keep telling yourself that."
Consider: Ed deciding to have his first time with Greed(/Greedling) because it’s not like he was doing anything with his virginity anyway and also, if you can trust anything about Greed, it’s that he treats his possessions well.
marry

Bold of you to assume I don't ship whatever the fuck Greed x Ling x Ed have going on at the same time
