EDICT
Here they are
Today's word of the day is...
Edict
[Noun]
Definition: An official order given by a person in authority.
Example Sentence: Coda issued an edict to prohibit dogs from the local park.
There's a program out there called EDICT (Empowering Diverse Climate Talent) that's currently taking applications! Basically it's a wide ranging internship program that partners with 67 orgs doing climate work in a wide range of applications from technical engineering to marketing. It would be a paid summer internship specifically for diverse students of all backgrounds (or recently non-students). (They do offer remote internships, but it's US specific)
If you've been looking for an opportunity to try climate work or make a pivot, and you're a younger person in or fresh from school, this could be a good opportunity! Apps close in early Feb, so get in there!
Woo!
Empowering Diverse Climate Talent (EDICT) creates a diverse pipeline of talent for the climate sector.

This character is a combination of 言 word/speak and 召 summon. Here 召 is being used especially in its connotations of a high ranking person summoning a lower one. With 言 this gives “a high ranking person making a proclamation / announcing something to a lower ranking person.” 詔 is particularly associated with an emperor’s summons or edict.
