IT'S HERE!!

I have reached chapter 2 and Alexander is still pronouncing Ichirou's name wrong.

I don't remember how I voted but I had my hopes up and they were dashed. Just completely dashed. Though so far that's the only thing that's been disappointing with the audiobook. The voices haven't bothered me, the intonations haven't bothered me...I'm just so disappointed with the mispronunciation of his name.

OPTION ONE: ADDING WHILE POSTING

1 - When preparing to post a fic under the 'Post New Work' page, scroll down to the section labelled 'Associations'.

2 - Go to the section labelled 'Post to Collections / Challenges'.

3 - Enter the collection name (Luztoye Week 2026) into the bar provided (as seen below).

4 - Add to collection by hitting enter/clicking on the option (seen below.)

5 - Proceed with posting the fic as normal.

OPTION TWO: POSTING DIRECTLY TO COLLECTION

1 - Go to the Luztoye Week 2026 collection page and select 'Post To Collection'.

2 - This will bring you to the normal 'Post New Work' page, but 'Luztoye Week 2026' will already be selected for 'Associations.'

WRAP UP

Both of these options will lead you to posting your fic with the collection, which looks like this on the work:

And will appear in the collection as well.

I heavily encourage all writers to add to this collection, as it allows me to keep track of what is written. All fics added to the collection for Luztoye Week will be recced afterwards (see the tag #fic recs for examples of this).

Ignorant or Lying?

I promised @the-grey-tribe I wouldn't respond back so I won't (you will notice I am not tagging our ignorant-or-lying counterparty) but I want you guys to see this shit they responded with:

17 bullets is extremely standard for pistols

E.g. you've heard of the Glock? Possibly the most common handgun in the world? It comes with a 17 round magazine as standard.

30 bullets is extremely standard, that's what a rifle has.

I went to guns.com, the most gun website I could find,

And I went to the #1 rifle on their list

And I went to their description of the rifle:

Oh look it's 30 rounds by default unless you buy a different magazine than the one that comes standard with the rifle.

The standards are 17 and 30. They are standard. Making a 10- or 15-bullet rule bans standard capacity magazines.

BUT

In fact notice that ghostpalmtechnique isn't ignorant.

They didn't come back with "I don't know why you would ever need more than 12 bullets"

They specifically used the numbers 17 and 30 in their response.

They know what the standard magazine sizes are.

It is as the original post said: You can only be this ignorant if you know what you are talking about and you have decided to be wrong on purpose.

Rules

Fun and murder aside, assassination work, pirate ships and gift exchanges all need some ground rules to work out. As we posted before, the short version is: don’t be a bigot. The long version is:

- Once again, don’t be a bigot. Do NOT participate if you are racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist or anything of the sort.

If your work excuses or does not warn for such content, we will talk to you about it and may delete your work from this challenge or ban you from future such events.

We also ask that you keep in mind that Hobb heavily implies most of her main characters and in particular people from Buck to be dark-skinned people of colour. The cover may not show it, but the covers do not always mirror the actual content of the book, which is why the mods of this collection like to use the most laughably inaccurate official art we know to showcase this event on Tumblr.

All headcanons for characters without a confirmed appearance will be respected here and PoC headcanons are welcome. But the whitewashing of characters who are heavily implied not to be white is not.

- -Do NOT block evade to participate. Blocking is a healthy way to curate your own experience and we encourage everyone to do it to keep themselves safe and comfortable. We only block people on this blog who have broken our rules in the past, posted offensive content or acted rudely in comments, or blocked us first.

- Do NOT repost other people's creations without permission, especially on other websites. Giving credit is not enough if you do not have the creator’s permission.

- Do NOT enter any AI works. This applies to both art and writing and any other kinds of submissions.

- Do NOT share your gift publicly before the gifting day.

- - Do NOT request or offer smut if you're under 18. Sign ups that do not follow this rule will be deleted.

Their First Time - 1.4k - mild smut -  Dean waited until Castiel was ready and now Castiel wants to explore more of his love for Dean.
