customizing my theme?

is anyone having problems updating their theme? like when i try editing my html, it won't save and an error comes up saying "WOOPS :(" WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN WHAT DO YOU MEAN WOOPS

I can't seem to change the title + link colours on my blog... I've tried everything from the Appearances tag in Customize to editing the HTML code... It's blue at the moment but i want to change it. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks :)
