Person A is in charge of proofreading the royal documents, but when looking over their ruler’s newborn heir’s birth certificate, they immediately rush to the ruler and ask if the child’s name is misspelled. Apparently, due to names carrying power, the name given to the newborn heir has a strange and somewhat worrisome meaning/power behind it. But the ruler brushes off Person A’s concerns, since the name was chosen by the ruler’s partner/the other parent, who Person A has always been suspicious of. Turns out the other parent is a magic user/witch/etc., and starts trying to groom their child for ‘greatness’. Person A, the only one aware of the meaning of the child’s name, starts taking the child under their wing to thwart the mage parent’s plans at every turn.

“I’m working,” Crowley growled, snatching the paper out of Aziraphale’s hand to throw it back at him. He resolutely ignored the way it spiralled uselessly in the air instead of landing anywhere near his target. “Minesweeper doesn’t count just because it’s on your work computer.”
