This year I couldn’t work as well as I wanted to because I developed a really unhealthy relationship with sugar. It started with eating to relieve stress, to then rewarding myself for finishing a job, to then rewarding myself for working on a job for only 5 minutes. I beat myself up for having a cloudy mind and always feeling sluggish and anxious. I was overall mentally and physically unwell and I beat myself up a lot for thinking I was facing a creative block because I just wasn’t creative or talented enough. So, in response to @itsnicethat ‘s brief, my #CreativeResolution2020 is to have a healthier relationship with sugar (and food in general). I think it’s important for artists to remember that our health matters. I mean we all know that, but it’s so easy to forget. 

Pay attention to what your body is trying to tell you and don’t try to shut it up with energy drinks.

I wouldn't expect to spend the whole day correcting mistakes made by a person who was nominated for a prestigious literary award but here we are, yeah.
