A Rainy Night in Soho

A modern AU set over a single night in a London pub. Izzy is forced back to London after the death of his mother, and due to a sudden storm, takes shelter in a SoHo pub he remembers from many years ago. While there, he runs into Ed, his old flame and the only man he’s ever loved, for the first time in 30 years after Ed suddenly left England and his friends with benefits situation with Izzy, to be with Stede in Aotearoa. This didn’t work out, and Ed came back. Unable to leave due to the rain, the two have difficult decisions surrounding hurt, missed opportunities, and second chances, with Ed wishing he’d agreed to be Izzy’s New Year’s kiss after all, decades ago. They accept that maybe they can still make this work, and Izzy starts to accept that maybe he’s worthy of Ed’s love after all.
