My on-location sketchbook project has been selected by Edmonton Arts Council @yegarts for an Artist Project Grant! 😊 Which means that from May-July 2019, I will be filling a sketchbook (or two) of Edmonton landmarks and neighborhoods! While doing so, I’ll be running a 6-8 week public drop-in sketchclub (meeting weekly). YES - If you are an Edmonton commercial artist, emerging illustrator, or graphic artist, you are welcome to join me to sketch! 🎨❤️ The BEST PART? At the end of this project, I will be publishing it all into a limited edition art book! AND the back of the book will be a reserved section to showcase drawings by emerging artists who join me at my sketchclub (those chosen will receive a publishing honorarium + book)! 💯🎉 . This next week, I will be planning out the drawing locations. If you have suggestions, or if want to host a location, please send me an email! I want to feature as many Edmonton neighborhoods as possible! 🏡🏗🏭🗺 . If you are a commercial artist (or know emerging illustrators/designers in the city), please feel free to join, tag, and share this invitation!
