Pecan Pie Cookie Bars

Ingredients
Crust 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted 1 tsp. baking powder dash salt 2/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed 1/2 cup soft butter
Filling 4 eggs 1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1 1/2 cups dark corn syrup 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 3/4 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Crust — sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
Mix in brown sugar.
Cut in butter.
Place in bottom of greased 9" x 13" pan.
Bake 10–12 minutes.
Remove from oven and set aside.
Filling — beat eggs, brown sugar, flour and salt.
Add corn syrup and vanilla.
Pour over crust and sprinkle with pecans.
Bake 45 minutes.
Cut into bars while warm.
