Who do you think plays the dominant role in ednort, and why?

I have a rather unconventional opinion on this, because I’m convinced that Edgar is exceptionally dominant, but I’d be very interested to hear your perspective on their relationship///

Hello. I have a common opinion on this, it is not unique in any way. For me, the dominant one is Norton. I'm sorry, idk lore Edgar very well, bc I wasn't interested in this character (my friend loves this character and he always corrects me if I say something wrong or my headcannons contradict the canon). I'm also not a person who delves deeply into character history and character analysis, so I hope you'll be gentle with my opinion.

I agree that Edgar is quite dominant, as I remember, he is an aristocrat and was raised that way, at least. In my perception of this pair, he remains the same, but gives way to the dominant role of Norton. Norton is a pretty mature man (albeit not in terms of relationships), and also stubborn. They are both people with whom it would probably be difficult to establish communication.

With Edgar, bc he is quite arrogant and, in principle, is not in the mood for communication, especially for empty conversations about nothing. With Norton bc of his gloom and distrust (ofc, if you are overly meticulous and not vulnerable, then it will be quite possible to make friends with him, but you must also be patient enough, this man is not one of those who can be read like an open book)

Anyway, my dynamic is a little different from how my friend sees it. For me, Norton likes to tease and joke about Edgar, knowing how easy it is to piss him off. He enjoys it to some extent. And yet, he's still a little dumbfounded that someone from a pretty high estate family has agreed to a relationship with him. Sometimes he looks for a trick, but mostly enjoys the company of an aristocrat. Edgar saw something unusual in Norton. Unusual enough to talk to this poor man. Of course, Edgar was furious when Norton brushed him off, answered in monosyllables, or ignored him altogether (we don't communicate with bourgeois people), but Valden's ego could not accept this. How come this idiot doesn't want to talk to an art genius?

I didn't think about how they could get closer, but I think Edgar might have been interested in the way Norton talked about different minerals and precious stones. How he saw something valuable and worthwhile in these raw and ugly dirty rocks. He could also be attracted to Norton's appearance: his scars and looks (I know that in the game they smooth out the corners and make the characters cute. However, I really like art where Norton gets a big nose or a hump. Unfortunately, I can't draw him like this because of my style). And what did Norton see in Edgar? Well, I think at first he wanted this relationship to play into his hands, maybe enrich him a little, give him fame or connections. However, after spending more time with this guy, Norton realized that even status and money won't help you if you're unhappy. It could have changed something in him, in his perception of the world. Oh yes, of course, Edgar's drawings were beautiful too, yes (at least he was one of the few who didn't look at Norton's scars as something vile and terrible. On the contrary, Edgar touched them and did not frown, but carefully studied their texture and color).

Здравствуйте. У меня обычное мнение на этот счет, оно не является каким-то уникальным. Для меня главный отношениях - это Нортон. Простите, я не слишком хорошо знаю лор Эдгара, поскольку не интересовался этим персонажем(мой друг любит этого персонажа и он всегда поправляет меня, если я говорю что-то не то или мои хедканоны противоречат канону). Я также не являюсь человеком, который глубоко углубляется в лор персонажа и анализом характера, надеюсь что вы отнесетесь мягко к моему мнению.

Я согласен с тем, что Эдгар довольно доминантный, как я помню, он аристократ и воспитывался так, по крайней мере. В моем восприятии этого пейринга он остается таким же, однако уступает главенствующую роль Нортону. Нортон довольно зрелый мужчина(пусть и не в плане отношений), а также упрямый. Они оба являются людьми, с которыми, вероятно, было бы тяжело наладить общение. С Эдгаром из-за того, что он довольно высокомерен и в принципе не настроен на общение, тем более на пустые разговоры ни о чем. С Нортоном из-за его мрачности и недоверчивости(конечно, если вы излишне дотошны и не ранимы, то с ним вполне можно будет подружиться, но вы должны быть также достаточно терпеливы, этот мужчина не из тех, кого можно прочитать как открытую книгу)

В любом случае, моя динамика немного отличается от того как ее видит мой друг. Для меня Нортон любит подкалывать и шутить над Эдгаром, зная, как легко его вывести из себя. Это в какой-то мере доставляет ему удовольствие. И все же, он слегка ошарашен до сих пор, что кто-то, из довольно статной семьи, согласился с ним на отношения. Иногда он ищет подвох, но в основном наслаждается компанией аристократа. Эдгар же увидел в Нортоне что-то необычное. Достаточно необычное, чтобы заговорить с этим нищим человеком. Конечно, Эдгар был в ярости, когда Нортон отмахивался от него, отвечал односложно или вовсе игнорировал(с буржуями не общаемся), однако эго Вальдена не могло смириться с этим. Как это с ним не хочет общаться этот недотепа, с ним, с гением искусства?

Я не обдумывал как они могли бы сблизиться, но, мне кажется, Эдгара могло заинтересовать то, как Нортон рассказывал о разных минералах и драгоценных камнях. Как он увидел в этих необработанных и уродливых грязных породах что-то ценное и стоящее. Его также могла бы привлечь внешность Нортона: его шрамы и внешность(я знаю, что в игре они сглаживают углы и делают персонажей милыми. Однако мне очень нравятся арты, где Нортону рисуют большой нос или горбинку. Я не могу его так рисовать из-за своего стиля, увы). А что увидел в Эдгаре Нортон? Ну, думаю сначала он хотел чтобы эти отношения сыграли ему на руку, может, немного обогатили его, дали славу или связи. Однако проведя больше времени с этим парнем, Нортон понял, что даже статус и деньги не помогут тебе, если ты несчастен. Это могло что-то изменить в нем, в его восприятии мира. Ах да, конечно, рисунки Эдгара тоже были красивыми, да(по крайней мере он был одним из немногих, кто не смотрел на шрамы Нортона как на что-то мерзкое и ужасное.
