im highkey kinda curious about Edsac's lore
is there any kinda lore on him by any chance?
A little bit! Because Edsac is at an actual museum today, his usual gang is who he's surrounded by there. So Bombe, Witch, and Colossus, are in his same wing. Along with that he's got Pegasus, Leo, and Ferranti !
In the overall story the museum is getting renovated wing by wing so the British side finishes and then its IBM. Edsac is pretty easy going so he doesn't really have any beef with anyone unless they pick on Edvac.
He's kind of a fanboy of Edvac actually, with his design based off the lecture about him, he always wanted to meet him. Edvac has found a lot of meaningful connection with him since not many other computers even know who he is, much less respect him.
In game lore, all the computers get reconstructions if there's no remaining pieces of them so they both feel good to have someone else who's a reconstruction too.
The others in the British wing give Edsac a little bit of a hard time about it, so he's been insecure about that aspect of himself.
He also likes to visit the PC side of the museum often, and is friends with several. He's learned how to play their games and is often seen when they have tournaments. He's the oldest one of the bunch at those events so sometimes they give him a head start when he has difficulty keeping up.
