PERSONALITY
-His personality during work is something similar to "I don't give a fuck about it", but also is kinda similar to Alicia (post-Angola). He's quiet, calm, serious and he takes no shit, but looks older that he really is, because of genetics. And speaking of, Alicia and Nicholas knows that even if he looks bitter, in reality is a little shit when he is confident and is really sweet with his family.
-During the conjoined missions he goes back to the attitude he used during old missions, cold and suspicious about the other team. Normally he stays inside the plane unless he's needed in a reunion, never really speaking during the mission.
-With the team he speaks and make some comments, not much more. But after some weeks, he started to tell silly or cheesy jokes...most of them, he heard them years ago.
BIOGRAPHY
Born in New Orleans, Lousiana, he has a twin brother. His father was never there and Marcel and him were raised by only their mother, always with difficulties to make ends meet. And during high school, as he distanced from Marcel, he found out about how good the USAAF paid, thinking that maybe he could help his mother.
He enlisted after finishing high school, feeling some kind of disgust mixed with shame and guilt once he learnt about the path his twin took. Edward cut ties with him during all his basic training and the first part of his career, until he went back home during a leave and found his mother crying. When he asked, she told him that during a fight the members of a rival gang beat up Marcel, and that he was in UCI.
Hearing that made his heart sink and he ran to the hospital, saying sorry over and over again when he saw his twin full of bandages and conected to so many monitors. After that he was filled with shame and regrets, but stayed in contact with the both of them to know how was Marcel doing during rehab. When he came back once again, he found him healed, but with a permanent limp due to a bad injury on his leg.
That same month he heard about the plans of his brother to create a fundation to help every kind of people, and he was happy to help him with anything he could. And when he learned that the name would be "Flying Love" because of him and their mother, he cried like never before even if that meant being mocked by Marcel. And so, soon "Flying Love" started to exist. (I wrote the part that involves Marcel while hearing Let's Hurt Tonight...it was a good and a bad idea, mostly because I'm trying not to cry with the movie I made inside my head because of the rythm.)
Years later he met Alicia during a mission in the Middle East and somehow became friends with her, helped by the fact he was assigned to help the 267 in various missions after that first one. In 2016 he was assigned with the 101st to participate in the called Operation Firewall, deployed to Chad. Sadly both had lost contact a year before or so, and only knew about her once she went to ask him to join the Specters.
It was shock to see how she was after three years, but obliged to go with her. And since he saw that his friend wasn't the same as before, Edward decided that at least...he could make her smile as she did for him.
SKILLS
-Incredible skill to shoot at high speeds.
-Quick to made some calculus at mid-flight and has an almost inhuman time of reaction.
-He prefers when he has to combat in the air.
COMBAT
His combat is mainly basic, the combat he was teached, and his first choice weapon is a Bowie knife. He is learning MCMAP with Marcus just to have a trick in case the worst happens, and will ask Luke for the same reason.
TRIVIA
-No one on his old team really knows this, but after they first met, Alicia and him concided during a leave. They started to talk (usually she took most of the weight of the conversation) and became friends, being even closer when they were assigned in different missions. Nowdays, Edward regret that he didn't appreciate those moments, mostly after seeing how much she changed.
-He befriended Jackson, with who he does some weird shit, and also Luke, the one he calls "sane" even though that's a lie. The three of them usually go for drinks to talk and more, sometimes even staying up until late talking. As well he's similar to a big brother for Nicholas, and bring him to New Orleans when he goes back. Now Nicholas have a place in his house every time he goes there.
-Something he treasures, is the fact that Alicia always found him inside the plane to drink coffee. They stayed there in silence for hours extending the coffee, and sometimes they call each other by the nicknames they had. "Ally" and "Eddie", it's a long story of why they call eachother like that.
-When he's home, he helps his mother inside the house and he volunteers to help rehabilitate addicts, and reincorporate ex-gang members. Usually he give some classes, technical and theorical, about his fields of expertise.
-Due to his brother past with the gangs, he doesn't feel comfortable having tattoos, but he likes to see some online just to admire the desings.
-His callsign came because of a training with some TOPGUN guys. That time they did an internal bet, who had the quickest reaction time during the excercise. Once in the air, he was flying like there was nothing else around except the instructor plane. Even though he failed the objective, he had the best time and he was able to shoot in the middle of a maneuver. He had eager fingers, aparently.
-During a mission with the team, he was required to use a fighter plane for assisting during the mission. No need to say, but most of the team were surprised to see him in his main environment. On the other hand Nicholas and Francis cheered via radio while the infantry took cover. "That's the Eager I missed", was the only thing Alicia said with a smile.
-Those two always joke about how Edward looks and acts like he's fourty, but he isn't even in his thirties. All tired and bitter and done with people, just like an old man. At that moments they swear both can see a glimpse from the past, from better times.
-His favorite drink are milkshakes, vanilla ones to be specific. And his favorite food...he doesn't have one, but not because he doesn't like anything, on the contrary, he loves to eat, he eats everything. Everytime Alexander makes some biscuits, he always gives Edward a big portion of them.
