cw* Dirk grew up in Willow Creek as an only child, living a quiet and stable life with his parents. As a kid, he stayed out of trouble, excelled in school, and experienced a fairly simple, uneventful childhood. Next door lived the Pizzazz family, and Dirk became best friends with Preston Pizzazz. The two were inseparable growing up, sharing much of their childhood side by side. During their senior year of high school, Preston fell seriously ill and eventually passed away—a loss that deeply affected Dirk. In the aftermath, Preston’s younger sister, Penny, became an important source of support for Dirk, just as he was for her. Over time, they leaned on each other through their shared grief, forming a strong and meaningful bond. After graduating, Dirk moved on to attend Foxbury University, where he pursued a degree in Computer Science, carrying both his ambitions and the memory of his best friend with him.
