I like to thrift, and I'm mostly indifferent to Barbies and barbie adjacent dolls, but I still buy them if they're interesting, like the faces or the clothes they're wearing...

No idea who she is. The dress is Barbie, and I'm almost sure it's from the swan lake or something similar. The doll herself only says "kodansha" on the back, and I haven't been able to find any info on her. She's real cute tho. Shorter than barbie too.

Andy/Dan from Eegee. I had to google the "EG 1961" on the back of his head (the "eegee" on his lower back is real difficult to read). He's very much pre-loved and I'm actually scared of even cleaning him properly. But I really like him, he looks much better than vintage Ken.

These two I bought for themselves. The next two I bought for their clothes.

I thought this girl was a generic barbie, but I absolutely LOVE the skirt. (Does anyone know where it comes from?) But then I notice her face is not vwry Barbie-esque. She doesn't have any marks on her other than "china", so she's probably a clone/bootleg, but she's very sturdy, and she has clicky knees, which I haven't seen any other clone with. She does give me Megara vibes. (Also the shirt doesn't close at the back and her waist rotates)

And my favorite of the bunch:

The doll is okay, but the clothes.. she's wearing the Mexican Barbie dress! (The second edition). The hat obviously doesn't belong there, but it does make a nice adition. This absolutely will go to one of my Elenas.

There were other things I found, but they were far less interesting, like a couple of Boxy Girls and a Pinkie Copper, and two capsule chix

The Eegee Andy I got for $13 shipped. Tho I notice he hasn't got the Eegee/EG company mark on his back, so it's possible I might actually have a generic "Tom" in my hands. Either way, he doesn't have that magnificent swoop of hair that some Andys have, which I didn't see in my excited, slightly myopic state of "OMG $13 Andy!!" Lol That's ok though. If I ever get deeper into mold making I might make a cast of him to sculpt a similar swoop of hair on to.

Went to a thrift store looking for toddler clothes (how did she suddenly outgrow everything) and managed to not buy anything extraneous except this Bieber doll. Yoinked his body for Eegee Andy until his gets here. The body is uh pretty ugly. Joints aren’t great, they are stiff and clicky. I was surprised to find that the ankles are jointed, seems unusual since his wrists weren’t. Let’s not even talk about his flattened ogre hand or strange ?tattoo? I do like his shoes. And the muscle shirt strangely reduces the appearance of the massive neck size difference :)

Does anyone happen to know if an Eegee Andy head would match this type of articulated Ken body? Or have an opinion about a body for him?

I was considering the Superman body because it’s so nice, but not sure about those fist hands, or the color.
