Because after a long day of work, I don't want to be told I'm a bad wife/mother if I don't tend to my husband properly, or don't cook him/the kids their favourite meals.

My mom always calls herself a feminist, but silently judges women who don't look after their husbands. As if their only job is to baby around their husbands and make sure that they have eaten well or not. Meanwhile the dudes? Yeah, you guessed it. They have another mommy to kiss their boo-boos.

Stop this. If you are tired, unwell, or hell, just not up for it, make it a norm that your partner helps you out with the housework. It is not praiseworthy that a man cooks and cleans, it's basic survival skills. Women are not free labour that their parents have given to their in-laws. They are a part of the family, and deserve as much respect and love as the others.

This ad irks me. It's the same one where the mom is ordering food online for breakfast. Everyone is seemingly normal, except the little girl, who's a bit cranky. She says she's on a diet, and will have only fruits.

It's friggin 2021. Can we PLEASE, for the love of GOD, get rid of the notion that little girls have to diet to get the "perfect body", or they won't snag a good partner?

This isn't a rant just about body positivity, it's to highlight that it is so ingrained in society that the only way girls can function is if they look good. The only way they can do that? By dieting. The girl here is barely 14, I'm presuming. Most girls who do this end up with severe mental health issues and some of them, with severe eating disorders.

Stop the notion of "girls=looks and dieting", it isn't cool anymore.

Do it for you, if you want to be healthy, with proper guidance.
