11. Have a bit of folklore trivia you'd like to share?

There are several stories, particularly in the folklore of the British Isles, where fish seem to be clairvoyant. In "Gold-Tree and Silver-Tree" it is a trout instead of a magic mirror who gives the cruel queen her premonitions. In "The Green Lady" there are three fish who give a kind girl a prophecy to protect her from the fae.

I've always wondered if it has something to do with Fionn mac Cumhaill and the Salmon of Knowledge, and whether there is a connection to the recurring detail that mermaids sometimes foretell (mis)fortune...

The Colour of Love by effervescentaardvark: It was beyond dark. A pitch black that was so deep it allowed no hint of colour. He hurt. He had no idea where he was or how he’d got there. Gwaine realized the small, scared sound came from his own throat as he woke enough to reach out, trying to find out what was wrong with his eyes. Gwaine’s been rescued by his friends, but has he escaped unscathed from his ordeal? Luckily he has Percival to help him through the aftemath. Word Count: 6081

Just wondering whether there's likely to be another one of these at some time in the future? I've never got up the courage to try writing to a deadline or a prompt, but I've got as far as thinking about it, heh. But either way I'm really looking forward to reading the results of this fest and wanted to say thanks to you and the writers for taking the time and effort to provide lovely fics for the likes of me to enjoy :)

I do actually want to host another fest after this one! It probably won’t be till toward the end of the summer that signups start, and it might not be a bang but another kind of fest that’s still Gwaine-based. My beloved co-mod and I will sort out specifics later, but rest assured, you’ll have another chance to join. 8)

And I’m glad you’re looking forward to the outcome! A ton of our writers and artists are working hard, I know that for a fact. <3 There's gonna be a ton of great fanwork when posting time comes~
