what she means: dustin gave up on the girl he liked because he knew she was meant for lucas. when he saw how happy they were at the ball he moved on. although he was heartbroken he put on his best smile and was confident he could get any girl he wanted to dance with him. he then went to stacy, she said no and her friends laughed at him. he didn’t quit though. he continued to happily make moves until he finally realized no one wanted him.he wasn’t good enough for anyone. he cried, his smile and confidence all gone. a child’s confidence all gone.

Okay but imagine Steve wanting to host a thanksgiving dinner for the kids!
-He would be stressed out planning it because he wants it to be perfect.
-The kids would go grocery shopping with him to “help”. Which would include a lot of messing around and getting kicked out of markets.
