i forgot what i hc'd the relationship between lololo and lalala to be originally, but i think i settled on "childhood friends-to-lovers" who are currently in their. preteens as of kirby's dream land. i think of eggerland as happening after dream land, probably around the timeskip between robobot and star allies. i don't know how time works. lulu does not exist yet but he might post-forgotten land.

NINTENDO PLAYERS - 195 - LOLO & LALA

It just so happens that a lot of the characters in this set are very simple designs, which was why I was able to set aside the time to do them so soon, but this is the second ball-with-limbs character(s) so far!

A pair of characters that you might recognise, Lolo and Lala originated in HAL Laboratories 'Eggerland' games, but might be better know for the follow up, 'Adventures of Lolo.'

Once again these are games I haven't played and seem to have quite repetitive gameplay but I can imagine kids in the eighties sinking some hours into them when there weren't many other options.

Some more of you may be even more familiar with the characters as 'Lololo and Lalala' as they transitioned from one HAL property to another and became occasional guest bosses in the Kirby series. I wanted to pay tribute to their roots here though so they only get two syllables each.

While researching this one it seems that their artistic depiction varied greatly between games and systems - sometimes furry, sometimes smooth, sometimes gloved, sometimes barehanded and sometimes with more or less pronounced tail-things. I picked a few of the details I liked the most, because I was the one drawing it!
