I know you’ll all be shocked, but I made a pie. An eggnog custard pie! With freshly grated nutmeg. NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM It was good for Christmas, but obvi won’t be on regular rotation. It’s lighter than a cheesecake, and maybe I wanted a heavy, dense cheesecake? But super tasty. I made mine with an almond milk eggnog but I don’t think that caused any issues. Still used cow’s cream for incorporating the whipped cream. So glad to use the last of my sweet, spiced pie dough from Thanksgiving! Maybe next time I’d decorate with some cranberry sauce or something. But for now, this served its purpose.
