AU: CELEB!EGGSY & JOURNALIST!HARRY

SO THIS IS HOW IT GOES:

Eggsy is an up and coming actor. Best of his age. Bit mysterious cos he’s so private. Everyone wants a piece of him. He agrees to get everyone off his back by doing an in depth article on some Famous Celeb Mag.

Harry is a famous (print centric) journalist who is being drowned out by social media and newer and fresher journalists. He gets assigned (reluctantly) to Eggsy so make him more current and interesting.

 Harry was once one of the Most Famous journalists, but since a lot of the internet/social media evolution has been coming about, he’s been fading into the back ground.

He gets called into his office (by Merlin obvi)! They want him to like try something new so they have him do a Big Interview with one of the biggest up and coming actors at the moment and it’s Gary “Eggsy” Unwin.

 Harry is reluctant but merlin thinks it'll be good for bringing him back into modern magazine times.

 So Harry just goes along with it even though he kind of hates it and he starts covering eggsy’s daily life kind of just generally hanging out with him trying to write an in-depth piece.

And throughout the whole thing Eggsy knows what Harry is doing so he tries to give him the juiciest details but they kind of end up getting really familiar with each other and getting to know each other and Eggsy starts to have a crush on Harry and Harry starts to get to know Eggsy beyond being a Great Actor (he sees him with his mom and Daisy OBVIOUSLY).

Obviously they start to fall in love.

ESPECIALLY WHEN: Eggsy is nominated for an award! HARRY is there and they rejoice and Eggsy pulls HARRY in for a kiss and he leaves HARRY gaping and roxy is in shock but laughs COS SHE KNOWS! Everything! (she's Harry's photographer for this and she gets to know eggsy too and Harry thinks eggsy fancies roxy but he doesn't they're just friends).

 THEN: At the award ceremony, eggsy doesn't show up cos he panics and when he wins the award his manager team (Ryan and Jamal) receive it on his behalf. In truth, he's there but he's in the bathroom and freaking out. He calls HARRY (from the loo obviously) and Harry whisks him away around New York City and Eggsy thanks him.

One time eggsy asks HARRY to exchange secrets with him and Harry says he would rather be writing about extinct owls than celebrities and Eggsy laughs. Eggsy reveals his anxiety towards crowds and how this ceremony just confirmed it. Everyone thinks he's some sort of a bad boy cos he's a chav but he's just private and quiet and sticks to himself and only lets people he loves in.

Eggsy is like “what will you write about me?” After they talk more about the incident and Harry says “what I know. I know that you're a star. Bright burning and out of reach. But you're also down to earth and kind and brilliant and so easy to--- (he almost says love) LIKE as a person. I will only write the truth about you.”

They slowly fall in love with each other and a few key things happen (BUT under the cut cos this got long):

Eggsy forgets about the article! He’s so used to Harry’s presence that he’s like just treating it as a friend thing.

Harry gets a notice that he has to quickly close the article because a Major Magazinewants him to write a Piece on something big! On a major controversial piece about a Politican!

Harry tells eggsy this (he’s excited! He’s going back to his “real” job!) and Eggsy shuts down and tries his best to help Harry finish the piece on him so Harry can go and do what Harry really loves.

Harry finishes eggsy's article and totally ~*forgets*~ that they're in love but eggsy doesn't! Eggsy Pines Obviously but Harry Pines Secretly.

Harr goes back to England and Eggsy stays in Los Angeles.

Roxy ends up telling HARRY he's a fool after she reads the article he wrote up on eggsy. She knows HARRY is in love with eggsy but also knows that eggsy thinks that HARRY is done with him and used his vulnerability for the article and to get the juiciest shit. Harry is like what no I… shit I love him and I didn't tell them. So….

Harry flies back to America

He sits next to someone who recognizes him and they talk about how the person  misses Harry's old articles but thinks that the piece on eggsy is interesting and well written and heartfelt.

Harry asks if he can have the magazine and the person says yes

Harry finds out eggsy is at a red carpet and he tries to get in as media but doesn't have the appropriate stuff. Ryan and Jamal begrudgingly let him in bc they know HARRY hurt eggsy's feelings but they know HARRY wants to fix things. So:

HARRY runs into eggsy and Eggsy is with a handsome young male celeb

He ignores this and asks eggsy if he's read the article

Eggsy grimly nods and thanks him for the wonderful piece and Charlie (the guy) is like yah mate nice little interview! How long did u spend time together lol.

Harry is like 4 months (the best 4 months of his life, in his humble ONION!) he’s like “I felt like I really got to know eggsy. Deeply. But Idecided to rewrite the article. Just now. Would u like to read it eggsy?

And eggsy’s like “uh now?” And HARRY is like YEAH hold lemme get a pen, and he pulls a pen out from his satchel bag that he didn't leave behind and hestarts frantically writing and he's like “here” and gives the paper to eggsy and Eggsy laughs and Charlie's like UR TAKIN THE PISS RIGHT?

And Harry is like no lad.

(Harry scribbled out the article and just wrote “I love you Eggsy, will you   forgive me for being a daft prick?”)

Eggsy is like “YAH you tosser, I do forgive you. And I love you ta”.

They kiss and ppl start taking pics and it's cute.

Eggsy continues to become the brightest star of his time and Harry continues to write for his fancy magazines. Roxy stays Harry's photographer but sometimes is lent out to take personal photos of eggsy's touring life and etc. Merlin poses the idea that Harry should do a personal documentary on eggsy's life someday. They all laugh about it.

ANYWAY THAT GOT REALLY LONG!

adventurer!eggsy ft celeb!harry au:

so you know how there’s the bear grylls show where he goes out adventuring with celebrities and he goes all over the world to test their outdoor/survival skills?

imagine one for where eggsy is bear grylls and harry hart is the celebrity. 

eggsy knows that when he was younger, harry was a big action film star (harry now just does romantic comedy films or period films (EGGSY LOVES THEM TOO))

eggsy’s like “well that was just in the movies”

so eggsy spends his time preparing for the episode by thinking up ways to protect harry or help him out. 

merlin is harry’s PA and best friend for life so like, every time he meets up with eggsy and his team, to talk about where eggsy will take harry for the episode (eggsy’s like DON’T WORRY I WILL TAKE CARE OF HIM I WILL KEEP HIM SAFE), merlin tries to keep his laughter in because it’s obvious that (while eggsy is a fan) eggsy doesn’t know of harry’s background in the military.

merlin relays all this info to harry and harry just shrugs and he’s like “i’ll show him then” and merlin is like “okay try not to break the kid, haz, he’s a fan *wiggles eyebrows*” and harry is like pffttt 

(harry’s a fan of eggsy too because he LOVES adventurer shows and maybe eggsy but don’t tell anyone it’s a sECRET)

on the day of the episode (idk if you’ve watched the show, bear usually drops out of nowhere from a helicopter or something) like eggsy shows up in a helly and he picks up harry and his jaW DROPS!!!!

harry looks good in a suit but he looks damn beautiful in his survival gear.

merlin let’s out a cackle behind the camera and the crew also kind of laughs also

(ROXY DID THIS [she’s eggsy’s like ~*Assistant*~ but also in charge of the show], she set the whole thing up just to mess with eggsy cos she knows he has a crush on harry but she didn’t know it was this serious)

so the episode starts out with eggsy trying very hard to impress harry but 

the whole episode is just harry peacocking for eggsy and eggsy’s jaw is on the ground the whole episode!!!! HE DIDN’T KNOW!!!! HARRY!!! COULD!!! DO THAT!!! DAMN SON

(there’s a scene where they have to climb a tree to see the landscape and eggsy is like “lemme do this” but harry is like “no, here let me try” and fuckin spidermonkeys up the bloody tree and eggsy’s on the ground with his jaw on the ground again (obvi the crew IS DYING because this is GOLD)

but anyway, when they’re done filming... harry is whisked away bc he did the episode as promotion for his RETURN to action films. eggsy pines 4 harry. merlin and roxy r facepalming bc how could they be so SILLY.

merlin has the big idea to invite eggsy to the premiere and have him walk the carpet too and roxy is like yessss 

the episode airs and the most popular hashtag on twitter is: #HARTWINvsTHEWORLD and #HARTWIN and #JAWMEETGROUND

they don’t see each other til the premiere but when they do....

harry’s jaw meets the ground bc eggsy cleans up very well

eggsy is never going 2 be over harry in a suit

they want to talk but they’re both swarmed by reporters!!!! (they aSK ABOUT THE #HARTWIN and stuff and eggsy just blushes and harry is like “it’s natural chemistry, obviously” [but inside u know he’s dYIN TOO])

they finally get in 2 see the movie: harry is seated in front of eggsy in the theatre and he’s like oH SNAP and he’s like IM OUT I CANT DO THIS!!! THNX.

but merlin nudges him and roxy flicks him on the head (she’s behind him 2 lol) and he goes 2 follow eggsy

he goes and finds eggsy in an empty hallway (ORIGINAL YES I KNOW)

they don’t declare their love for each other BUT as harry is talking about the episode being wonderful and wanting 2 spend more time with eggsy doing that stuff.... eggsy blurts out “GO ON A DATE WITH ME PLEASE” and harry blushes and says “YES” immediately.

obviously they start dating AND

on their one year anniversary they do a follow up episode

harry and eggsy are very heart eyes at each other but are very competitive so they make it

harry vs. eggsy. vs the world

and everything is adventurer gay.

THE END. IT GOT LONG. BUT IMAGINE!!
