The catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa ; meaning "Mound of Shards" because the area used to contain a mound 𓈏𓏏𓈇𓏤 “ı͗3.ṯ” of shards of terra cotta which mostly consisted of jars 𓇋𓎡𓈖𓎺 “ı͗kn” and objects made of clay. It is a historical archaeological site located in Alexandria, Egypt - Beloved Land - Tameri 𓇾𓌸𓂋𓆵𓇋𓊖𓊖 “t3-mrı͗”. The necropolis consists of a series of Alexandrian tombs 𓂝𓂝𓇋𓉴 “ˁˁı͗”, statues 𓂙𓏏𓏭𓀾 “ḫnty” and archaeological objects of the Pharaonic funeral cult with Hellenistic and early Imperial Roman influences. Due to the time period, many of the features of the catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa merge Roman, Greek and Egyptian 𓂋𓐝𓎀𓀂𓀭𓏪 “rmṯ” cultural points; some statues are Egyptian in style, yet bear Roman clothes and hair style whilst other features share a similar style. #iregipto #egyptpassion #mbplanet #ancientegypt #architecture #ancient #anubis #garden #good #beautiful #peace #pharaoh #pyramids #reading #egyptology #egyptmuseum #explore #civilization #king #instagram #isis #world #work #temple #tourism #history #you #design #drawing #king (at Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa) https://www.instagram.com/p/CT_u8k3s_9m/?utm_medium=tumblr
