Dalv Co. is one of many bids looking to buy up an old office complex along the Illinois river, but did the City of Amity Park know it's being haunted? Yeah, no, me either...

the mystery squad decide to take a stab at revealing yet another citizen looking to use ghosts as a means to an end...

if only it weren't for those meddling kids and their stupid dog...

basically, what if when Wes started his whole "Fenton is Phantom!!!" campaign, his oldest friend Percy got the gang back together to try and. Well. help him out somehow because ain't no way Phantom is Fenton, man...

but they followed phantom with Wes and instead solved some crime no one knew was being committed because I believe with my whole heart that there are people in Amity Park trying to cash in on ghost nonsense for financial gain or fraud of some sort or something,,, and i kinda sorta keeps happening. the rest, they say, is history <3 *scooby doo theme starts playing*

thanks to @monotype-on-phantom 's guides on Danny Phantom background characters, I pulled together this Mystery Squad(tm):

knows everyone and everybody, almost always has a smile, can smell the blood in the water

Rebecca, co-gizmo/tech/trap support

ghost fan, not an A-lister but popular, pairs up with Sam in Home Ec, makes Leonard's ideas happen, mechanical girly who can also gut a fish

Westly 'Wes' Weston, the 'true' brains of the group

fixated on proving Danny Fenton is Danny Phantom, ball is life fairy godmother, nose in a book the other third of the time, nerd, long suffering

Percy 'Prince' Princeton, the glue

video game lover, also ball is life fairy godmother, loves animals, especially dogs, just doesn't want Wes to end up on the news

Cujo, the ghost dog

totally not a ghost, chases off the low level ghosts the kids would otherwise encounter, is here to have a good time being a guard dog, and while Danny doesn't have a lot of time for him Percy sure does

they were all friends in elementary school but drifted at some point except prince and wes <3
