okay so i have been led down a rabbit hole of zalgo stuff. more under cut. this would be 10x longer if i transferred everything over but i'm doing my current thoughts right now.
i was supposed to find more of zalgo's proxies and got sucked into the scp wiki where i read like all of hello world and the stories afterward because scp-2522 (also called hatbot) IS in fact a proxy of zalgo (it used his power to kill a bunch of people or something and does want to summon him). i'm not saying more about hatbot because i neeedd people to read the story please please please .
(if i had to give zalgo's "proxies" a specific TYPE of proxy it'd be agent, because that essentiallt just means cultist, which i feel is the closest. zalgo CAN technically mess with their brains, but i feel like he doesn't aside from the usual "driving people insane" thing. then again, that's not controlling them, that's just scrambling the inside of their skull like an egg. so it's separate.)
after that i went over to the gods and demons wiki where i found some more stuff, but i think a lot of this is written with the idea that zalgo is the scarlet king. for example that zalgo's offspring include scp-999 and scp-682 (obviously) called "joy" and "atanti ql-paneu" in this. zalgo is also called "za'lgatoth" so that's fun. also to be mentioned this is someone being "taken over" by scp-2439 (also known as. you guessed it. the scarlet king) which reminds me heavily of zalgo for obvious reasons. also because of the zalgoified garfield comics haha.
WITH the idea that zalgo is the scarlet king: i look at this .
less the other stuff moreso the pandora force stuff. pandora force which stops the scarlet king. sentinels of pandora which keeps people save from anomalies in general. hohoho. hohoho ! maybe they moved onto bigger stuff. WHO KNOWS.
i don't know if the sentinels of pandora and the pandora force would be the exact same thing (especially considering they're made by different people) but they seem to have the same goal in mind so i'm throwing those together.

the only real proxies worth noting (relative to current events in MY stuff) are ben, scarecrow, stripes, smile dog, the hornette clan, hatbot, shadowlurker (i'm not sure if he still is), greg rainer (no idea who that is but his name's come up) and herobrine (i'm not sure how, but this also means glitchy red and s!3v3n serve zalgo by proxy (haha. get it) whether they're "neutral" on it or not.) liu is a new member. sorry for him. he's in a cult now.
it can be assuuumeddd that everyone above wants to summon him. i know that hatbot and the hornette clan (which smile dog is in) definitively do. but i'd have to look up more stuff on the other ones.
also i really like how the collective members are kind of slenderman's limbs and then zalgo's agents are his eyes. slenderman puts himself in his proxies like a virus while zalgo uses his like little scouts. ^_^ he can't interact with the world physically so he sees through them and tells them what to do. meanwhile slenderman is able to fully put himself out there (and can use the collective to travel between realms in a way ? i'd have to do more research on them too (despite watching the full series) haha)
i think being near a proxy of slenderman or zalgo for a long time WILL mess up your brain which is where smile dog even gets his abilities from. that's why the chainmail works, it was a gift from zalgo.
with slenderman it's a sickness and it's something that can't be taken out of you. it will continue to eat away at you until you are nothing. zalgo's abilities on the other hand just fry you completely. there's no salvaging anything.
also: i love lazari and stripes. i like the idea of them being zalgo's kids. HOWEVER i probably will not stick with the um. zalgo from i eat pasta for breakfast. i don't like him. and i AM including pain in this. AND scp-166 and the rest of zalgo's weirdo scp kids (through the scarlet king, who we're saying IS zalgo here).
these are all the notes i have right now. maybe i'll make a list of proxies as well as who all is neutral.
the "sides" would probably be slenderman, splendorman and zalgo. trenderman maybe but i don't think about him regularly.
