peter and margaret got married BECAUSE margaret was pregnant. and because margaret was christian, she worried that if they Weren't married it'd basically ruin her forever

she did nottt want liu though, and she let liu know that (not that he remembers any of it)

ok. yapping about jeff not necessarily liu but my thoughts are in here. copied and pasted (and slightly edited) from a discord.

margaret and marceline (marcy) were originally hodeks, from their dad, and then their mom was chinese (name pending....)

so the last name ended up carrying over into another jeff story that was made (which exists in their universe. thats why I'm explaining it this way. jeff hodek doesn't exist as his own character, hes just a spinoff of jeff woods)

margaret (16) got with and married peter woods (20) in 1990 and had liu shortly afterward in december (margaret was already pregnant and was pressured into marriage by her christian family, as well as peter, to save face)

margaret ended up taking a Lot of her problems out onto liu (who, at her age, she couldnt properly care for either), and she mellowed out somewhat after having jeff in june 1993. she still yelled at him and hit him, just not to the degree she did liu.

jeff and liu knew marcy very briefly, but she left the family as *soon* as she turned 18

jeffs family goes to church every sunday #Yay. but essentially margaret, as a result of not getting her own proper childhood, tended to take out a lot of her issues onto her kids, and she was *very* particular about how they looked and acted. which led to jeff acting out more as a means of "reclaiming himself". meanwhile liu tried his hardest Not to cause problems

peter gets a new, higher-paying job and moves from louisiana to a nice neighborhood in florida, which is where the jeff creepypasta (relatively unchanged) starts. i also include jane everlasting's pasta in this. jeff also killed jane richardson's parents, but that was later)

after jeff cuts his face, burns jane and runs away in 2006 (age 13), he meets smile dog/zalgo, who manipulates jeff into sacrificing people to him. a newspaper was published around this time that listed jeff as a suspect, but it wasn't important at the time except for maybe a certain true crime nut (nina)

liu is in the hospital at this time with a very very limited idea of what happened at all. all he knows is hey, his Entire family is missing (since there was very little information made public). he's taken advantage of by his nurse and he (and sully thanks sully) lashes out and kills her, then runs away to hopefully find jeff .

(also, liu already had DID unbeknownst to him, sully just formed as a result of what jeff did so that he wouldnt know about it)

in 2007, the "nnn special broadcast" is made, featuring jeff's face and a list of names (victims).

the actual news report regarding jeff's murder of his family happened in 2011 when he tried to kill a kid who survived and was able to talk about it. they also interviewed a few other witnesses so they could have more of the full story

YES. A LOT OF THIS WAS SAID IN PREVIOUS POSTS BUT I'M PUTTING IT IN THIS POST TOO. A LOT OF ZALGO'S LORE IS BUILT ON PRE-EXISTING LORE OF WHICH I WILL PROVIDE THE SOURCE IF ASKED. KIND OF BADLY WRITTEN...

there's zalgo and his "family" which each control respective concepts in their world (think like the devils from chainsaw man...). zalgo is sealed away and cannot get to the other dimension which is why he has so many children, because he keeps killing his siblings and passing their powers onto his children because they're easier to manipulate. he wants that control for himself and he wants to plunge the world into total chaos under his reign. under zalgo are of course his children and his cultists, both of which are named "zalgoids" (which means "first borns" in zalgo's language). they typically live in the underrealm, which is reserved for monsters.

under the slenderman are its proxies, which are people that were broken apart and put back together. found family but evil, since they can't exactly... leave . like zalgo, slenderman typically sticks to its own dimension, using the collective and its other proxies to properly interact with the world since it can't exactly reach it. most of slenderman's proxies are children/young adults, assuming it hasn't eaten them. it sends proxies on "errands", and punishes them for stepping out of line. proxies wear masks to both give themself a new identity under him, and to "hide" from him. there are different types of proxies depending on what role slenderman needs them to fill, but it's not exactly a boss/employee relationship with them rather than a "ohh you'll be the older brother. you'll be the younger sister. you'll be the mom. this is fine." the slendermansion is its own realm, and an extension of himself, but since its proxies are (for the most part) human, they live on the overrealm unless taken into the mansion.

there is also the splendorman ^_^ splendor's proxies are NOT just alternate universe versions of slender's, they're each their own person, molded into the version of themself that splendor wants them to be. these are typically also children, but rather than spreading the operator sickness they spread kindness. i think if i ever did anything with these guys in any sort of comic it'd be like those cartoon filler episodes.

there are also HABIT and EVIL, which DO have proxies of their own i just... haven't put much thought into yet. lol.

These are really the five main "operators," (haha guess where i got THAT name from) and it's kind of hard to survive without one since most of the entities living around there aren't strong enough to fend for themselves.

margaret was born in 1974, marcy was born in 1971, and peter was born in 1970.

margaret and peter got married in 1990 and margaret took peters last name

they had liu in 1990 and jeff in 1993

they both started school on august 15, 2006 when jeff was 13 and liu was 15 (liu was born in december so he and jeff are really like 2 and a half years apart rather than 3)

billy's party was august 20

jeff killed his family and jane's as soon as he got out of the hospital which would be like a week and a half later

liu escaped the hospital september 2

my jeff timeline and a clump of lore but i'm going to make it more concise eventually. this is based on the 2011 story, jane arkensaw's story and vampirenote13's homicidal liu, as well as roleplays with my friends

i am going to rework all of this with sources since my jeff is very much tied to a lot of other stories abt him. a lot of this is copy pasted.

monday, august 15: first day of school (i had to look up when the first day of school typically is, and it said "third monday of august." the third monday of august is the 15th. woo), get jumped by randy

tuesday, august 16: liu gets arrested.

thursday, august 18: nothin.

saturday, august 20: billy's party.

hour later. jeff wakes up.

sunday, august 21: liu gets released.

jeff's face turned white, so it's safe to assume they were third degree burns, which is what i'm rolling with. this is also why he's bald but like realistically he'd have way less hair than i gave him. in patches !!!!

stitches usually heal in two weeks, and third degree burns typically take over 3 weeks, but for jeff's sake since we need to bump it up to a whole year to get the timeline right. one day per percent of burn, with pretty much his whole body burnt the heck up, means its safe to say it's over a month he was in that hospital. acid burns also take months to heal. they probably grafted it, but since jeff's face was white, i'm assuming they didn't

jeff leaves the hospital after his bandages are taken off, so i'm saying it took like. hot minute idk. has to be september i guess because oooo i cant remember what happened in september Haha !!!!!!! but like. eheheuehjdauhgbfbg.

liu didn't really have anybody growing up (except for. yknow. The mental illness) until jeff was born. liu devoted everything he had into that . very overprotective to the point its kind of suffocating, especially with jeffs mom practically breathing down jeffs neck to make sure hes the perfect golden child or whatever, when she basically gave up on liu. hesitant to get into details for fear of being wrong but this is also where the DID comes from (yknow, abuse and neglect)

liu kept jeff out of trouble for the most part but jeff continued to want more and more attention so he dabbled in a Little crime… mostly petty theft, graffiti etcetera. he was fairly smart and he didnt like covering his tracks because he wanted to get caught, he wanted the attention that would come from it and more importantly wanted to fuck his mom over since she wanted her perrrrfect little family or whatever, at the expense of, yknow, being a decent mom. he went to church every sunday and graffiti'd and robbed n stuff on the side. naturally liu took the brunt for all of it :broken_heart:

despite the difference between jeff and other people (see: npd n whatever else) he had more friends than liu had. because liu had literally nobody. and liu was like yknow what this is fine as long as we're cool. and liu and jeff were extremely close :]

when they moved jeff met jane and liu was kind of controlling over that too in that "hey here's what you can say to him etc etc"

jeff got freaky obsessed with jane. like he didnt have that sort of connection with anyone else before her (not romantic, he just doesnt understand friendship :broken_heart:) and its like. oh hey. this person was nice to me. well i guess we're best friends and she can never leave me now. this is the only person who's ever been on his level, and worthy of talking to him.

so he killed her family and friends naturally :heart: as a means of being like. hey, you dont need anybody else youre just like meeee we're bffs forever now yippeee yippee yahoo. despite her being the only one really on his level she wasnt quite there yet and he wanted . yknow. to actually be on the same level. maybe he wouldn't have done this but his thinking was kinda crazy impaired because of the whole brain damage but he really did wanna be friends with her. and she wanted to be friends with him (mostly for her image, since she was kinda in the mean girlsey group with dani marcy and erica. her dad was a cop. she was kinda the popular kid, despite feeling like she blended into the background a lot.)

so when his mom threatened to just get rid of him jeff lashed out and killed both her and his dad :p and liu by just like. well what if he wants to kill me too yadda yadda jeff is Extremely paranoid but he didnt want to kill him because i mean thats his brother. after he ditched everything smile dog swooped in and was like heeyyy you kill people right can u sacrifice stuff to me and jeff was like yeah sure i guess man, which was how he got roped into the zalgo vs slender stuff. like jeff had the chance to go back up until the point he met smile dog

cuz then it shifted from a "ohh god i just killed my family my life is over oh god oh god" to HEYY THIS IS KINDA NICE ACTUALLY

because he no longer had anything holding him back (aside from smile dog. but he didnt know that)

a lot is taken from chibi-works! a majority...i'm a big fan of their work. they call me the plagiarizer (i mean not really but i like sticking as close to the original stuff as possible. sue me)

Typically, Zalgo has children for the same reason Slenderman has proxies: another means of controlling the world in some way. He, like Slenderman, is trapped in another dimension and this is just the most convenient method. of course, zalgo has cultists, but it's just easier lol. Both are called Zalgoids (children of zalgo) whether actually related to him or not, which leads to a Little confusion ... it's typically used in the same way the word proxy is.

there's zahir, eloise (stripes), eleanor, aleda, lazari... the list goes on and on and on.

lazari is, of course, the one with the most potential, being able to eat monsters. she reminds me of denji (chainsaw man) and nezuko (demon slayer) lol. not a lot of zalgoids know about her existence, since it's been kept fairly secretive on purpose

each one has an inner demon, which is one of zalgo's siblings (called naamalgoids, children of naamah) that have died and were trapped in a zalgoid . This inner demon is the source of their powers, since most of Zalgo's children are half-human, but being half-demon makes it significantly easier to learn other types of magic as well . each naamalgoid embodies a specific concept, hence why zalgoids typically have one Field Of Expertise

stripes had to go through intensive training which is 1: the reason why she's So Buff and 2: the reason why her inner demon doesn't genuinely impair her. lazari gets major bruising all over her body when she changes forms just because she wasn't and still isn't ready to use it, she was just forced into it by slenderman

a lot of other zalgoids have a good handle on their abilities, lazari was just never taught .

lazari's hungry form is NOT her final form, nor is stripes'. their demon forms usually heavily resemble their inner demon and they only really use them in life or death situations because it's extremely draining for both parties (the zalgoid and inner demon) since their human bodies aren't used to that.

it is extremely difficult to kill an actual naamalgoid, but zalgoids are fairly easy to kill since they're Usually human. if a naamalgoid were truly killed, because they "are" the concept, it'd be extremely uh . unfortunate. luna is the demon of the moon, i feel like if she fully died (rather than just possessing a zalgoid, i mean COMPLETELY killed) the whole moon would literally go poof or something (which would be real awkward for the moon children huh)

if a zalgoid were to have a child, then a naamalgoid could potentially inhabit it, but since zalgoids are (usually) half-human, they don't get that privilege, and end up disappearing entirely
