ok. yapping about jeff not necessarily liu but my thoughts are in here. copied and pasted (and slightly edited) from a discord.

margaret and marceline (marcy) were originally hodeks, from their dad, and then their mom was chinese (name pending....)

so the last name ended up carrying over into another jeff story that was made (which exists in their universe. thats why I'm explaining it this way. jeff hodek doesn't exist as his own character, hes just a spinoff of jeff woods)

margaret (16) got with and married peter woods (20) in 1990 and had liu shortly afterward in december (margaret was already pregnant and was pressured into marriage by her christian family, as well as peter, to save face)

margaret ended up taking a Lot of her problems out onto liu (who, at her age, she couldnt properly care for either), and she mellowed out somewhat after having jeff in june 1993. she still yelled at him and hit him, just not to the degree she did liu.

jeff and liu knew marcy very briefly, but she left the family as *soon* as she turned 18

jeffs family goes to church every sunday #Yay. but essentially margaret, as a result of not getting her own proper childhood, tended to take out a lot of her issues onto her kids, and she was *very* particular about how they looked and acted. which led to jeff acting out more as a means of "reclaiming himself". meanwhile liu tried his hardest Not to cause problems

peter gets a new, higher-paying job and moves from louisiana to a nice neighborhood in florida, which is where the jeff creepypasta (relatively unchanged) starts. i also include jane everlasting's pasta in this. jeff also killed jane richardson's parents, but that was later)

after jeff cuts his face, burns jane and runs away in 2006 (age 13), he meets smile dog/zalgo, who manipulates jeff into sacrificing people to him. a newspaper was published around this time that listed jeff as a suspect, but it wasn't important at the time except for maybe a certain true crime nut (nina)

liu is in the hospital at this time with a very very limited idea of what happened at all. all he knows is hey, his Entire family is missing (since there was very little information made public). he's taken advantage of by his nurse and he (and sully thanks sully) lashes out and kills her, then runs away to hopefully find jeff .

(also, liu already had DID unbeknownst to him, sully just formed as a result of what jeff did so that he wouldnt know about it)

in 2007, the "nnn special broadcast" is made, featuring jeff's face and a list of names (victims).

the actual news report regarding jeff's murder of his family happened in 2011 when he tried to kill a kid who survived and was able to talk about it. they also interviewed a few other witnesses so they could have more of the full story

After Jeff was born, Margaret mellowed way out, mostly because she was a little older by that point and could come to terms with everything . Jeff still got SOME of it but not nearly as much as liu did at the start :p

peter and margaret got married BECAUSE margaret was pregnant. and because margaret was christian, she worried that if they Weren't married it'd basically ruin her forever

she did nottt want liu though, and she let liu know that (not that he remembers any of it)

margaret was born in 1974, marcy was born in 1971, and peter was born in 1970.

margaret and peter got married in 1990 and margaret took peters last name

they had liu in 1990 and jeff in 1993

they both started school on august 15, 2006 when jeff was 13 and liu was 15 (liu was born in december so he and jeff are really like 2 and a half years apart rather than 3)

billy's party was august 20

jeff killed his family and jane's as soon as he got out of the hospital which would be like a week and a half later

liu escaped the hospital september 2

May you tell us about the different factions in your Creepypasta setting?

YES. A LOT OF THIS WAS SAID IN PREVIOUS POSTS BUT I'M PUTTING IT IN THIS POST TOO. A LOT OF ZALGO'S LORE IS BUILT ON PRE-EXISTING LORE OF WHICH I WILL PROVIDE THE SOURCE IF ASKED. KIND OF BADLY WRITTEN...

there's zalgo and his "family" which each control respective concepts in their world (think like the devils from chainsaw man...). zalgo is sealed away and cannot get to the other dimension which is why he has so many children, because he keeps killing his siblings and passing their powers onto his children because they're easier to manipulate. he wants that control for himself and he wants to plunge the world into total chaos under his reign. under zalgo are of course his children and his cultists, both of which are named "zalgoids" (which means "first borns" in zalgo's language). they typically live in the underrealm, which is reserved for monsters.

under the slenderman are its proxies, which are people that were broken apart and put back together. found family but evil, since they can't exactly... leave . like zalgo, slenderman typically sticks to its own dimension, using the collective and its other proxies to properly interact with the world since it can't exactly reach it. most of slenderman's proxies are children/young adults, assuming it hasn't eaten them. it sends proxies on "errands", and punishes them for stepping out of line. proxies wear masks to both give themself a new identity under him, and to "hide" from him. there are different types of proxies depending on what role slenderman needs them to fill, but it's not exactly a boss/employee relationship with them rather than a "ohh you'll be the older brother. you'll be the younger sister. you'll be the mom. this is fine." the slendermansion is its own realm, and an extension of himself, but since its proxies are (for the most part) human, they live on the overrealm unless taken into the mansion.

there is also the splendorman ^_^ splendor's proxies are NOT just alternate universe versions of slender's, they're each their own person, molded into the version of themself that splendor wants them to be. these are typically also children, but rather than spreading the operator sickness they spread kindness. i think if i ever did anything with these guys in any sort of comic it'd be like those cartoon filler episodes.

there are also HABIT and EVIL, which DO have proxies of their own i just... haven't put much thought into yet. lol.

These are really the five main "operators," (haha guess where i got THAT name from) and it's kind of hard to survive without one since most of the entities living around there aren't strong enough to fend for themselves.
