"Hm? What's this..."
The First had had been working on a few much needed repairs when the flyer appeared. Given that he'd holed himself up in one of the many abandoned warehouse he used as a base, he could only assume it blew in through one of the many, many broken windows.
He held the paper up, brows furrowing at the contents. Was this for some costume party? A bit early, wasn't it? And that was some strange fine print...
"Mh... what do you think, Tango?" he mused, waving the flyer around. "Think I'd make a good shape-shifter?"
The cat mechanaloid, perched on a few boxes beside him, blinked owilshly.
"Maow."
"Yeah, thought so," He chuckled. “I'm already a dead man walking, so no point in doubling down on that either.”
He huffed, tossing the flyer aside.
“Naga's not too bad, I guess. If I were to go, I could probably give Snake Man a run for his money.”
It was at that moment a harsh gust of wind kicked up from… he didn’t know where. There shouldn't have been one, not in such an enclosed space. It cut through him, swept him off his feet and zapped him of all remaining strength as it made him choke on air.
Static of purple and green clouded his vision, and strings of errors and warnings assaulted him from every direction. No matter how many he dismissed, twice the amount would pop up and bombard him with information. He felt sick and unsteady, cold and all too hot, and the pulsing in his core was not normal and not what he was used to and it all felt wrong.
"Ghh—"
He could hear Tango yowl as he collapsed, the prototype only able to read one final alert before everything went black:

Chief had a solid second of preparation for what was about to happen, starting from the firm 'clap' of Envy's palms against her hips... and suddenly she was moving without her say-so, feet momentarily flailing in the air and fingers grasping powerful forearms as Envy effectively got her out of their way.
By that point, her face had already began to turn pink.
"Oh-Hey!" That was one way to deal with Chief, I guess but getting tossed around wouldn't be enough to get her out of anyone's way, sadly! The second grip was released, Chief acted fast and for her benefit, managed to duck under arms and rather clumsily fall back against the door Envy was attempting to get through. Shoulder smacked painfully against the frame but she only spared a wince before eyebrows shot up at the Sinner looming over her. "What did I say? You had to get through me, and... you didn't do a very good job at even that, huh?" Fighting words.
