I just got word that Tessa was rushed to the vet this morning. She had bloody diarrhea, fever of 105, lethargy, head tilt, and disorientation, as well as lack of appetite for a few days and occasional vomiting. The theory at this point is ehrlichia but they're running tests and have started her on doxy and fluids. She'll be spending the night at the vet for sure. I'd appreciate prayers for my girl. I'm a very worried mom who is currently 2.5 hours away and can't rush to be with her.

Today is the 1 year anniversary of his port placement surgery! This time last year our heads were swimming trying to take in all the information that we would need to properly care for Boone during the course of his chemo treatments! Wish I could have glimpsed the future to see where he is today. He has turned into such a sweet kid! He loves his big brothers fiercely and readily loves on all the girls when they come to visit. He has recently fallen in love with my bff “my Sara” and her 4 little people. He talks about them daily. He is a chatterbox, which is wild to think about because he couldn’t even say the word “no” clearly this time last year. He loves giving out hugs and kisses and saying “I love you”! If someone gets hurt or is upset he is the first one by their side to give a tissue. I just picked Matilda up after her surgery - she’s doing okay so far!

They did test her for the usual stuff though, and they found that she was positive for ehrlichia (sp?) which is a horrible tick-born disease. But they think we caught it early enough that, with her medicine, she should be fine!
