EVENT #10 – AU Week

It’s been about eight months since our last AU week, and we think it’s high time to bring this popular event back! For the players that are not familiar with the term, AU Week (also known as Alternative Universe Week) is an event where we encourage our members to set Eichen’s plot aside for a moment, and enjoy creating a thread in a complete alternative universe. You are free to decide what alternate universe your thread will be set, and are free to decide what happens in it. Just like the last two AU weeks we’ve had, all players are invited to explore their characters outside of Eichen, creating new scenarios that would either could or would not be possible to occur within the constraints of our plot.

GUIDELINES:

The event starts Monday, January 11th and ends Monday, January 18th. After that date, the players are allowed to continue with threads started before the 18th, but are no longer allowed to post AU starters.

When making a starter, don’t forget to tag it with our event tag and specify what alternate universe it is. (ex. Supernatural AU, Cyberpunk AU, etc.)

The event tag to be used is #ehrpgevent010.

Not every starter has to be related to the event.

Here is a list of AU’s to help you choose, and here is an extensive list of supernatural species. You are not in any way restricted to either of these lists, and can choose as many alternative universes as you wish.

This is a temporary situation.

With El Niño’s recent appearance, Georgia - and Eichen itself - has been suffering from an abnormal amount of heat, even for somewhere so far south. In the past few hours, torrential downpours have occurred, and a flash flood warning has been issued. All patients must remain indoors until such time as the staff allows them to go. Staff members may leave, but do so at their own risk; it is advised that they stay in the asylum for the next few days.

EVENT #9 – MASQUERADE BALL

As the holiday season begins to near its end, the staff of Eichen have thrown something special together. The singular therapist on staff happens to be far too trusting of the patients, and suggested to the director that a special sort of dance be thrown - not just any old get together, but a masquerade ball. If patients do not have formal attire, it will be provided for them. They can choose to create their own masks in the art room or purchase one.

GUIDELINES:

The event starts Saturday, December 19th and ends Saturday, December 26th.

Seeing as the event encompasses the entire asylum, please do not make non-event starters, but you are free to continue non-event threads until they are finished.

In-character rules still apply, but - as always - feel free to break them.

The tag to be used is #ehrpgevent009.

Was everyone put in dorms during the lockdown? Random dorms, with other people's stuff?

Not necessarily in dorms! It's wherever your character happened to be at the time - exactly where will have to be determined with you and your lockdown partner. If you plan to mess with another character's belongings, be sure to talk to their rper first.

This is the last day to add your characters to the list! If you can’t remember if you’ve added them or not, feel free to message the main and ask, or simply submit again, just to be sure. I’ll be closing the form at 9 p.m., EST, so be sure to get them in before then!
