NCIS: Los Angeles S11E4 - Yellow Jack
In the 4th episode of the 11th season of NCIS: Los Angeles, while the team deals with a potential Ebola exposure on both the USS Allegiance and Los Angeles, Kensi and Deeks deal with potentially life changing news.
This has become on the BEST episodes of season 11 so far of NCIS: Los Angeles as well as one of the BEST EVER DENSI EPISODES. This episode was a rollercoaster ride of emotions that really kept me on my toes as this episode introduced the "incident" that had the potential to change both Kensi and Deeks's lives. In the very beginning of the episode, from the moment we first see Kensi, she had began acting strangely and suspicious throughout the entire episode. I kept getting more and more excited by the minute as I couldn’t wait to see Kensi finally tell Deeks what had been bothering her so much. Seriously I kept asking myself, What Is Kensi Keeping From Her HUSBAND!!! The anticipation kept building and building when Kensi became really worried about the case of the week involving the exposure of Ebola and was worried about herself and Deeks getting infected. Finally after much waiting, excitement and anticipation, Kensi told Deeks she was late, meaning..... SHE MIGHT BE PREGNANT!!!!! This is what we have all been waiting for. The topic of Densi having a baby has been at the top of our wish lists since they finally tied the knot back in March and now a baby is what we all are dreaming for.
This was an extremely powerful and wonderful episode for Deeks and Kensi. The love and emotion I felt from them really reminded me so much of season 9’s episode, the Silo from the last goodbye phone call from Kensi to their moment on the roof together. Definitely this is one of the most powerful and emotional episodes EVER for Densi. Although in the end Kensi discovered it was nothing but a false alarm, this event really brought them together and Kensi is finally ready to truly start talking about the two of them having kids one day. The topic of Densi having kids of their own has been an ongoing discussion since before they got engaged and for a really, REALLY long time, they have held back from having a full on discussion about this subject. Deeks made his feelings clear that he loves kids and expressed his dreams of one day starting a family with Kensi. However, Kensi on the other hand wasn’t so great with them in the beginning and wasn’t so sure about the idea. In time though as she fell in love with Deeks and the walls she built around herself came down, little by little as they began to talk more about their future, Kensi finally realized she shares his dreams. This episode really put everything into a clear perspective for Kensi and now she is ready. Ready to finally have a real honest and goodness discussion with Deeks about kids, no longer letting fear hold them back on the idea. Truly a beautiful episode.
Aside from all the Densi love, another great thing about this episode was the return of one of my FAVOURITE characters, Ehsan Navid. He was originally a one-time only character for the series as he was introduced way back in Season 5 when he helped the team with a past case while Kensi was in Afghanistan. He really proven himself to be a great ally for the team as he really helped in a big way. Since then, he has become an NCIS Special Agent himself, gotten married and has three children of his own. He has also stayed in close contact with the team as everyone is very proud of him and he is also one of the very rare characters who calls Deeks by his first name. The friendship between Esthan and Deeks is one of the many things I LOVE ABOUT HIM. I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW HAPPY I AM TO SEE HIM AGAIN. I am so glad he was brought back as he is a great character and he continues to make the LA Team Proud. However, I won’t lie when I say I WAS REALLY WORRIED ABOUT HIM, afraid he might have been infected, but THANK GOD he is alright. I really hope we see him again soon before the season is over and I hope he begins to have a more recurring role from now on.
Overall, this is officially one of my favourite episodes of season 11 as well as one of the BEST Densi Episodes. This episode warmed my heart and I still have a huge smile on my face after watching it. I can’t wait to see Kensi and Deeks really begin to discuss having kids now as this is their first real step in starting a family now that is seems they are finally on the same page. I have a good feeling this is going to be a great season for Densi and I am looking forward to everything season 11 has in store for them. Plus I am REALLY excited for next weeks episode involving a stolen painting.
