"Isolation and obligations had destroyed me… and yet I lived."
I took this quote from a video game I recently played and I was amazed by it, as well as the research into the lore from that video game, which is really underrated. And I haven't drawn in a long time, so I'm back with new things, this time completely different, because I will mostly present my favorite characters in roles from various media (literature, art, comics, video games, movies, series, cartoons, etc.) and in my own way. And I will also practice some more drawings and sketches of various body parts and things to perfect it to an even better level.
Some will say how much I hate Mickey Mouse and why I don't draw him as often unlike Donald and Goofy. WRONG! I don't hate Mickey, he's a great character, but I prefer Donald, Goofy, HDL, Scrooge, Jose, Panchito, Oswald, Horace, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Pete and other characters that are dearer to me than Mickey, but that doesn't mean I don't like him, in fact I enjoyed many of his cartoons and comics that I read. What I have a problem with and what I don't like is that Mickey is now just a mascot and nothing more. Unfortunately, Disney has done stupid things lately that I wouldn't like to comment on and that they have reduced Mickey and friends to the level of a mascot, so I'm not surprised why many people hate him. Unfortunately, most people don't know the Mickey Mouse comics in which Mickey has a much bigger role than in the cartoons and that he has really great moments like Detective Mickey. I especially recommend reading the Mickey Mystery comics drawn and written by the famous Giorgo Cavazzano. I drew two drawings related to Mickey Mouse and Phantom Blot and how I imagine their rivalry and their mutual fight and relationships between them. One from the comics, and the other from the video game. Both drawings are actually redraws from those covers, or posters, but I did it in my own way.
WARNING! The second drawing I drew contains elements of blood, but mainly how they kill the undead like vampires, zombies and skeletons, and also kill demons that have red hands, so please don't be scared about it, plus this is not related to small children, but for older children and adults who understand these materials.
The first drawing I drew was a redraw from the cover of Topolino (Italian Mickey Mouse comics) issue 3478 from 2022, drawn by the famous and excellent artist Corrado Mastantuono, which shows Phantom Blot hiding Mickey Mouse, and Mickey does not know that Phantom Blot is following him. In this case, I drew it in a way that Detective Mickey Mouse is looking for Phantom Blot with a gun until he realizes that he is behind him. Phantom Blot, or rather Mr. Blot or Bob Blot (as his real name sounds) has a desire for world domination and the seizure of certain artifacts in order to rule Mousetown and other cities and countries, he is Mickey's real archenemy and it is a great pity that Disney has not yet made an animated depiction of the fight between the two, I assume because it would not be intended for young children, although the old cartoons and comics were primarily intended for adults, and only later for children. I drew the scene so that on one side you can see the Phantom's real face (which resembles Walt Disney) and on the other side his mask and Phantom Blot rubbing his hands after he caught Mickey in a trap. Yes, Phantom Blot is one of my favorite Disney villains and I love most of the comics in which he appears. Both are located in the underground Mousetown.
The second drawing is related to the video game saga called "Legacy of Kain" and that under Blood Omen and Soul Reaver which came out in the period from 1996 to 2003, with two remasters Soul Reaver 1 and 2 from last year. Otherwise the genre is action-adventure video game. I recently played it and I was amazed and I imagined which of those characters could play the roles from those games so I connected Phantom Blot and Mickey Mouse to play in this and they would play as Kain and Raziel since I noticed similar relationships between the two, as well as the relationships between Blot and Mickey. Otherwise, it was about the saga of the events of a vampire named Kain written by Amy Hennig and the struggle over the Pillars (pillars of stability that kept Nosgoth alive), as well as the former vampire Raziel who was thrown into the Lake of the Dead due to Kain's jealousy and then became the Soul Reaver with the help of an ancient deity. Kain refused to sacrifice himself after defeating his enemies and condemned the Pillars to destruction and established his vampire empire that lasted over 1500 years and Raziel was tasked with destroying him as well as his former partners who had become vicious monsters. Later, Raziel realized that he was once a Sarafan Knight who captured vampires and much later he would realize how dirty the game was and that Kain had also been deceived. Their saga ends in "Legacy of Kain: Defiance" from 2003, where I took inspiration from that poster for my drawing. Phantom Blot is like Kain, eager for dominance, so I drew him as the vampire Kain and he is green because he is an old vampire. Mickey is like Raziel who became a Soul Reaver (he was previously a vampire, and since bats are mostly like vampires, Mickey would be a good role as a vampire and later as a Ghoul and Soul Reaver), although he was previously an enemy of Blot, they became allies in the fight against various enemies, such as various monsters as well as against vampires, humans (Sarafan especially), zombies, skeletons, the Hylden army and even against demons. Mickey is shown here as a ghoul, and that is why he is blue, if anyone asks (since in the original Raziel was a blue ghoul). Both have Soul Reaver swords and fight against their enemies. Behind them is the destroyed Pillars. This is just the beginning, maybe in the future I will draw more things like this, if I am able to draw them like the Mouseverse in Soul Reaver.
I also drew this as a start to the Halloween celebration since they are depicted as vampires and ghouls (and the best part of the vampires is from Legacy of Kain next to Blade) and I hope you like this and sorry for any mistakes. If you like these new drawings of mine, feel free to like and reblog this, just don't copy my same ideas and my versions without mentioning me! Thanks! Also, happy Halloween and happy Inktober! It's time to make Mickey great again! And sorry for long post!
And for the end of the tribute music related to this:
