👀👀👀yes anon it is indeed fitting for them.  i’m sorry this took quite a bit of time to answer tho, i’m trying to motivate myself back into writing again, and thank you for the question.

5. “Wait a minute.  Are you jealous?”

“So, what do you think?”

Kira scarcely registered Eiichi’s question as he looked at the photos on his phone.  They weren’t official, but the pictures, taken by Natsuki during a dress rehearsal, showed exactly what sort of outfits they were going to wear for their performance of “Egoistic”.

It certainly suited the song, a piece intense in both instrumentation and lyrics.  The leather jackets and pants, boots, spiked jewelry, and straps added a rugged edge to their appearances, something Eiichi rarely had in the outfits he wore with Heavens.

When the question clicked in Kira’s mind, he looked back at Eiichi, maintaining his usual placid expression in front of Eiichi’s smirk.

“How did… you decide on this?” Kira answered with a question, trying to keep his emotions from bubbling to the surface.

Eiichi returned his phone to his pocket and crossed his arms, still wearing a proud grin.  “Ranmaru wanted something with a rock vibe, so it was natural that we had to look a bit intimidating,” he said.  “Natsuki was happy to go along with it, but I suggested some of the accessories to give us a more… adult look.”  He turned, waiting for a proper response.  “Do you like it?”

Kira cleared his throat.  “Yes, but…”

“But?”  Eiichi cupped Kira’s cheek and peered closely for any microexpression that would give away his true feelings.  His eyes widened as he picked up on something.  “Wait… are you jealous?  Why?”

The faintest blush appeared on Kira’s face, but he didn’t turn away, confirming Eiichi’s suspicions.  “I wish… I could have been the first… to see you in that.”

Eiichi’s shocked expression morphed into something devious.  His smirk returned, and he pulled Kira closer, until their faces were a hair’s breadth away.

“I promise to give you a special performance in my outfit after the concert,” Eiichi murmured before pressing their lips together in a lingering kiss.

As he pulled away, Kira trailed his hand up, resting it on the hollow of Eiichi’s neck.  “Do not forget the collar.”

Eiichi’s grin widened and his eyes glinted behind his glasses.  “Of course not.”
