A part of me can't help but feel like the political aspects of Arcane get brought up so much (notably in fandom arguments or even the occasional "arcane critical" tag) that it seems like some of the meaningful messages get overshadowed and as much as it's not always a bad thing to debate, I feel like some of said messages should to be talked about more. Even just a tiny bit or something? And that's regardless if some of them were intentional or not, some of them are pretty good and effective.
Like come on: Break the (especially toxic) cycles either yourself or someone before you started? Love is powerful but also nuanced and multifaceted (as we're shown genuine but also twisted examples of it)? Not everything is black and white, especially in regards to conflict or trauma? Hell, as flawed as the "beauty in imperfections" speech can be it's not necessarily a bad message either (at least on paper depending on who you ask)?
Idk maybe I'm a bit naive or something but these are primarily things I feel like clinging onto and help see of the show's positives more. Like I said, the political discussions/critiques aren't always bad per se (I did stumble upon some interesting ones, including one that brings up how Zuan actually gets woobified to the extreme by the fandom which is interesting but I wonder about regarding hindsight). i just wish they weren't always the constant focus the more I think about it.

Hello I would like to hear more about The Monster in The Library and what happened with it and Clover cause I'm a sucker for creepy scenes in libraries (I swear libraries are such an underutilized setting for scary scenes, I mean like cmon narrow walkways, echoes, carts with creaky wheels, books being thrown or piled on top of someone to trap them, the usualy calm silence being menacing and broken suddenly with a chaotic chase, a place usually so cozy being flipped into some horrifying maze, I LIVE for that stuff lol) and I haven't been able to get it out of my head since u posted about it forever ago lol
Oh my gosh I will HAPPILY ramble about the monster I’m the library! Libraries are soooo creepy and I put Clover in a thousand different creepy situations in various libraries cuz I keep coming up with insane ideas for them! Anyways… the monster in the library….
Clover goes to huge library to research something. He actually reads and researches a lot, and it helps that libraries are free. When he goes to the library, he’s amazed at how many books there are. Only issue is that there are certain parts of the library blocked off at certain times in the day. Clover asks the staff about it, but they act weird, saying that it’s for everyone’s safety to keep them in one spot. Clover stays there all day as the staff goes into some doors, pulls people out, and then nervously block off the door. Eventually, when nighttime comes, everyone is kicked out, and the staff are rather aggressive about this.
Clover asks again, and one staff member learns that he’s a magical guardian and thinks that he can help them. She tells him that a while back, out of nowhere, a strange librarian appeared. The librarian wanders each section of the library, checking the shelves, the desks, and the books. They don’t know what it’s searching for, but it always does the same thing. It seems to have a schedule as it looks around the library, and so the staff blocks off certain parts of the library, so that no one will come into contact with the librarian. It enters the main part at night, hence why the staff were so aggressive in kicking everyone out.
This librarian is not a human though, not anymore. It seems to be a faceless tall creature with a bright light on its hand, using that as its eyes as it look around the library. You can be in the same section as it without meeting it, you just need to be sure not be in its light. Otherwise it’ll find what it’s looking for
as a gay!cas truther, i'm getting more and more on board the pansexual!cas train. and mostly bc i've been kind of starting to ship cas and kelly not-platonically.
yes they're besties but i think they could also kiss and be in love a little bit, since kelly is one of the only people on the show to never judge cas and his choices and always be in his corner no matter what. even (and especially) with everything concerning jack.
idk i feel like jack would ship it, too. like those toddlers that ask "mommy why arent you holding cas's hand? you guys are married now because cas is my dad."
but yes i think it'd be nice if cas got to fuck both twins. he deserves it.
