At the end of the day, there's no denying that whatever you have read, is just a book. It is a piece of literature that a human being has poured their heart and soul into, and just like any human creation, it's easy to wring out its flaws and put it on display. Sometimes, you are inspired by a work of fiction enough to idolize it, even if it's unrealistic; other times, inspiration strikes from non-fiction and human beings. But regardless, even for a second, if you set aside the critic, and feel yourself be immersed in a world where it works out, enough to make you question, even if it's for a millisecond, can i do this too? Then the author has achieved their job. Then ever so slightly, you're aligned with the feeling that can grow into success. Motivation's not the mimic of what you consume, just for the idea of hope: what happens if what I read comes true?
At the end of the day, it's literature, not real life. At the end of the day, it's psychology, philosophy, and choice. To say everything will work out is unrealistic, which is why it belongs to the literary world, where it motivates. In reality, it only serves to guide you towards hope. Don't let literature sell you false dreams, but allow it to give you that dopamine rush and inklings of hope that something better, strung of what-ifs of your choices, guides you in the right direction.
