Well, we didn't get the best results at the Stallion Show Off, but definitely not the worst either! All of our stallions were showed off in bridle/halter and in the show jumping arena as well.
First one up was Casse-Cou. He got the best placing of all our horses, a 4th place in Group 1. He did very well, and didn't even spook once. It's very clear to everyone watching that he was an experienced show horse - he has even been at the Olympics last year!
Next one up was LSR Hot N Cold, bred by Megan McFarland. He hit one of the poles with his hoof when he showed off in show jumping, landing him in 5th place in Group 5. Boy was doing great until then though, showing off a flying trot beside his handler Declan Rossi.
Paradoxis RPH was the next one, bred by Jill Reyes. He has a history of spooking in the strangest moments, and did so today as well. This time he spooked over a flowerpot put into the thing with the letter that marked where you were in the arena, one exactly identical flowerpot he had just passed earlier.
Luckily Tanya Downing is used to handling his antics, and managed to rein him in, and get him into 5th place in Group 2.
Fourth one up was Zobel's Cortänzer bred by the lovely Ian Salvatore. He was as steady as ever all the way through, but apparently the judges had taken a liking to another wonderful stallion in Group 1, so he got placed 6th.
The fifth one was the newbie in the group: EJ Tailormade. He was kind of a wildcard, since he had just arrived at Echo International Jumpers a week prior to the show. We are very satisfied with the 6th placing in Group 3 though!
Then we had FAL Contender Z, bred by Eve Sandoval. He was really frisky in the arena, showing off his trot, and barely able to stand still, when his conformation was to be viewed. Naturally it landed him in last place (7th) in Group 3.
Our own homebred boy EJ Tatendrang sadly didn't have a good day either, which landed him in 7th place in Group 4. He was doing very well in hand, but when it came to the Show Jumping arena he kept hitting poles, managing to only keep two or three obstacles up.
