Hi yeah so this might be weird idk but like I said I'm liking DC stuff more (mainly like batfam stuff) and ur the only person i know who likes it and uhehhhh there's alot of it and it feels very intimidating?? Idk where to start or anything do u have any suggestions. My fav chara is Jason if that helps

how i first got into de was basically a combo of looking on pinterest, reading wiki pages, and watching film clips on youtube, then i read fa, then i started buying/reading actual comics.

Definitely follow some of the comic writers and artists too :D

okay so obviously if you wanna get jason content, the webcomics are right there, both the wfa and outlaws ones. You can buy or totally legally acquire some of the actual comics, of which for jason i say start with "a death in the family" followed by "under the red hood" There's mixed opinions on the outlaws comics but i don't think theyre the worst things i've ever read, so those are a good source for more jason too.

The batman comics have the most batfam in them, so does tom taylor's nightwing run, so you can definitely look there for some batfam content

if you wanna branch out, i recommend you go either to anything titans or young justice. If you want something to watch, i havent seen the netflix titans show but i know people who like it, teen titans is a classic (i'm not really a fan of go, though), and young justice is genuine perfection, no comment, we deserve a fifth season. So definitely watch yj if you want a show!!

No group of people has the exact same opinion on comics or shows or movies, but anything that is good, people will mostly agree. So look online for what people consider good eras for the characters (eg, rebirth superman is generally considered one of his best modern eras, battinson has been great so far too).

if you come across a character you're interested in, do a deep dive! Read wikis, watch videos, whatever you can get your hands on. Not gonna lie, i got into a lot of characters through seeing them in fanfics lol. Sometimes the fandom is better than the actual comics and films.

Anyways here's some comics i like if you want recs to get into more characters

dark knights of steel - fantasy retelling

dc vs vampires - vampire apocalypse

tom taylor's nightwing run - good dose of batfam too

world's finest (mark waid) - anything by waid and mora is perfection

flashpoint - multiverse insanity

batman hush - generally just really good

the court of owls series - also just generally great

blackest night saga - pretty lantern heavy but i love the lanterns so i'm not complaining

yj98 - genuinely the best young justice media out there

controversial take but i do recommend heroes in crisis. Is it the best comic? No. But it introduces you to a lot of characters and you might find someone you like.

anyways yeah, this is a lot of rambling but have fun with it!! There's no right way to get into this stuff, and it is overwhelming, but basically just do what you want, find characters through that, and then branch out.
