I designed El Malefico and his offsider Slurf for the Mucha Lucha! movie 'The Return Of El Malefico'.
I have no recollection of any character turnarounds being done for the characters. I also don't believe I ever drew him again after designing him. Until now...
I'll admit I've done some things in my life that I'm not proud of. No, no, that's not true. I'm proud of most of them.
El Malefico
The Return Of El Malefico was a strange one. It was produced concurrently with season two of the series of Mucha Lucha! with a different director and storyboard artists. Plus the two writers were from season 1, and didn't come back for season 2.
A lot of people seem to enjoy it, which is nice to see. I have my thoughts on it which I keep to myself.
Thanks to @dailylucha on X for pointing out it's scheduled to appear on tubi and roku channel. The tubi thing might be significant for future projects...we will see.
