Elastic Bands- Tony Stark

You were attempting to get some paperwork done and although it was boring, it was harder than you expected it to be. Every time you focused on what you needed to write down, something either hit you, or landed in front of you. You were attempting to concentrate but elastic bands being flicked into the back of your head and onto your work made it far harder than you wanted.

Taking a deep breath, you tried to stay calm, not wanting to make a fuss about the matter as you knew that was what Tony wanted. He didn’t have anything to do so instantly expected you to give up your work to entertain his childlike attention span.

You continued writing on the paper, but an elastic band hit the back of your left ear and it was enough. You gripped the table in annoyance, looking for the best mode of retaliation. Reaching across the desk, you grabbed the large pot that rested on there, standing up and making your way over to where Tony sat.

He had a sly grin on his face, pushing the elastic bands away from him to attempt to feign innocence.

“Do you think you could just please go one day without pissing me off?” You frowned, tipping all the paperclips from the pot on top of his head.

He frowned at you, throwing another elastic band in your face.

“It’s your fault,” he stated.

You placed your hands on your hips, trying to keep your annoyance in, as you knew that Tony got a lot from your annoyance.

“How is it my fault that you were throwing elastic bands at me?” You questioned.

“You ignored me,” he stated forcefully. “And I cannot be blamed for my actions when you ignore me.”

Your eyes rolled at him. He was terribly immature, and it did bother you, it was rather annoying that he was charming as well.

“I can’t give you 24/7 attention Tony. I need to get work done at some point,” you stated.

“Fine. Five minutes but any longer, I cannot be blamed for my actions.”

“For Pete’s sake,” you sighed, rubbing your eyes with your hands.

It was an impossible relationship and if you didn’t love him you certainly wouldn’t have put up with this.

“You’re lucky I love you Stark,” you frowned. “But I am not above committing murder.”

He grinned at you too. “I love you too.”
